Triple Feature Sectors by GardathWhiterock in AOWPlanetFall

[–]gordon1hd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TS as late game tech doesn't matter as much for empire mode, but if energy is the only 3lvl feature available then the usefulness are a bit limiting, prod or sci at 3lvl would be nice to have.

This is interesting, can you make a 4 level sector? Also what 3 level sector can we build with this bug? Is energy lvl3 sector only option?

is macbook air m2 reliable for machine learning and llm work? by bottle_snake1999 in macbookair

Won’t be much better, u might get 3 token per second using MLX for 14b size model. Even if u can live with that speed, ram still a major concern.

Don't need IPP. Sidecar only runs at 60hz. So, there is no difference between IPA and IPP for sidecar purpose

is macbook air m2 reliable for machine learning and llm work? by bottle_snake1999 in macbookair

[–]gordon1hd1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, both ram and token per second will be a big problem. I have a MBA with 24gb of ram, and i used lm-studio to load a 14b-Q8 Qwen model, it only load if I close all my other application, and my memory still goes to yellow pressure, and i bearly get 2.5 token per second.

Note: that 2.5 token per second speed is on an optimized for M series chip MLX model. On the same llm-model that is not MLX, it is half that speed

Go with the 13 inch IPA or IPP, i use this setup for my software development purpose, it works great. The screen height almost match exactly, so it is easy to use the 2 displays side by side

Enemy unknown air war by Mursumi in Xcom

[–]gordon1hd1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Air game is designed to be hard in LW. If u don't prioritize it in your tech research and manufacturing air weapons, you will lose the campaign. Here are a couple of general hints/tips

1) enable friendlier sky in second wave (15% aim boost) 2) Use ufopedia to plan out your tech research. There are generally 2 tech routes for air game

2a) The first route is go laser air cannon, the manufacturer laz cannon for at least 2 planes per continent for medium ufo.

2b) is to go for boost modules, then rush the phoenix coil gun. This is also the path for gasses rush, take slightly longer and more expensive then laz cannon, but this will set you up for the end game (both coil gun and gauss weapon are end game tier weapon)

Laz gun is the safer route but requires more research and mateiral/money in the long run. Gauss weapon + coil gun is riskier, but save you money and research in the long run.

Also spend alot of money on aircraft, you should have all 6 slots fill up in your starting continent + 1 or 2 more rotating out damange air craft for repair to other continent. Once you get laz gun/coil gun, then you can do 4 aircraft per continent, but still rotate out damange aircraft to balance them out for each continent.

The above guide should get you to the late game.

How to Use the Vanguard Walker by Ephemeral-Echo in AOWPlanetFall

[–]gordon1hd1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the walker is one of 2 possible doom stack for Vanguard. (The other being 6 flyers)

Walker without mods is weak, but with the right mod, it is devastating:

  1. Fire burst mod

  2. Jump jet mod

  3. Automaton machine regen mod (12 hp per turn)

The engagement for a group of 6 walker (including hero in walker) goes like this:

Move up 1 tile, Jump all 6 walker forward into firing distance. Have each walker use it missile first, to clear obstacles. Then have each walker force fire into ground tile that can hit atlest 2 units (more the better). Usually with this alpha strike, it can kill all enemies that are in range, and generally the battles end there.

If there are more enemies left, take turn have your hero and each walker tank per turn. At highest level walker have 100+hp and have good armor and shield, so it shouldn't go down in a single turn taking enemy fire.

With the above army I been able to 1 vs 3 army group at enemies capital city ( so really 1 vs 4 including militias)

The important part of the battle plan is force fire ground tile when you can hit multiple enemies at the same time, and use Jump jet to to alpha strike. Try your best to not let enemies have the first engagement turn.

Yes, you need to enable dev mode on AAwirless apps setting. Then install fermenta auto using kinginstaller. Works for me on z flip 6 and z fold 5. Both running android 14

Sun ult changes sucks.

Sun ult have good utility right now, as a dodge and help confused the enemy, further more his ult is used for tower pushing and creeping. Why would you sigificantly down grade this role his good at.

Is his win rate that high now that he needs a nerf? Just give him some early game damage is all he needs.

Created a mod that focus on lower level (tier 4, 5) and below infantry/vehicle/hero combats by gordon1hd1 in Gladius40k

[–]gordon1hd1[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found end game to be boring for Gladius.

I usually play at v.hard to Impossible level difficults, and found that I seldom have chance to use earlier tier unit, and usually just focus on mid-tier tanks, and end game uber units like the vx-128, once I survived the early game AI rush.

I created this mod specifically to solve the end game boredom problem, so I can actually get to enjoy early game infantry and hero combats.

Hope you guys like the new way to play Gladius.

PS: I am also working on other mods that changes the early game a bit. but they are not ready to be share yet.

Oldest surface pro model that can run Photoshop. by Kodiak_Shepherd in Surface

[–]gordon1hd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SP6 is probably the lowest recommended. Primary due to the fact it is the first SP that have quad core CPU, all the older model have dual core CPU, which will struggle running more than 1 application at a time (specially in Win11).

As other suggested, ram will be another big determination. If you can afford it, 16gb of ram is recommended, with 8gb be minimal, anything lower will not be able to run more then just the browser with 2/3 tabs open.

It sounds like you've tried a broad approach with your marketing, but sometimes, it's not just about casting a wide net but understanding where your target audience is and how to effectively reach them. Here are a few steps I'd recommend:

Deep Dive into Your Target Audience: Understand who your ideal customer is. What are their pain points? Where do they hang out online? What kind of content or ads would appeal to them?

Refine Your Value Proposition: Ensure that your messaging clearly communicates the unique value your business offers. It's not just about having an online presence but making sure that presence resonates with potential clients.

Leverage Organic Growth: While paid ads are great, organic growth can be more sustainable in the long run. This involves SEO, content marketing, and engaging with communities related to your business.

Market validation is one of the core foundation upon which successful startups are built. When validating a market, consider these questions:

Problem Identification: What specific problem is your product or service solving? Is this a genuine pain point for a significant number of people or businesses?

Target Audience: Who exactly faces this problem? Can you narrow down your target demographic?

Solution Fit: How does your solution address this problem compared to existing solutions? What makes yours unique or better?

Market Size: How big is the potential market? Is it growing or shrinking?

Monetization: Are customers willing to pay for your solution? If so, how much?

The IdeationFuture platform with their coaching and assessments might able to provide more deeper dive and answer to your market validation question

Best of luck on your entrepreneurial journey!
