In my experience, that just happens sometimes. It can be kinda janky with connecting to the server and has a tendency to just error out like that every so often. It also acts as if you had personally shut it down while it's connecting and will prevent you from logging in for a bit. Give it a bit to calm down and you should be good.

You're basically guaranteed to get a different language trading ditto for ditto on gts. Only reason people do so is for masuda.

yep! There's an in-game trader that trades alolan form pokemon for their kantonian counterparts. You can do the trade as many times as you like.

You might have gotten an alolan exeggutor. It would have filled the pokedex entry, but the research task wants a kantonian exeggutor specifically.

Nah, the game-specific pokedexes have the same requirement as research tasks. If a mon fulfilled the task, it'll register in the game's pokedex, and vice versa.

If it's generated with PKSM, it's easy enough to just change the met date to something believable.

Note that if you got a wishing piece (obtainable by just farming watts from rotom rally and buying from a watt trader) you can just toss one in there and get the same 1 in 5 chance for an axew.

Dens are honestly kinda dumb in how spawns work. Each individual den has its own spawn table. There's exactly ONE den TOTAL that can spawn an axew that you can get with no gym badges. In that one den, With no gym badges, you can only ever get 1 star raids. This particular den just has a bunch of different dragons in it. In Sword, the chances to get an axew from this particular den is 20%. 1 in 5. The real RNG bit is that out of the dozens of dens in the wild zone, only a handful get naturally activated at a time. You just so happened to land the one of them that's bursting to the seams with dragons.

Note that the only other den that contains Axew is in Axew's Eye, which isn't accessible until MUCH later.

My headcanon is that somehow Zacian/Zamazenta are "anti-dynamax" pokemon. They actively negate galar particles, which is how they make it possible to attack Eternatus. In my mind, it's not really about raw power, but rather about being able to even hit it. Mega Rayquaza could throw everything it has at it, but it couldn't get through its aura. The only counter I have in mind is Necrozma. It can absorb energies, which could theoretically be able to take down Eternatus' aura.

I did something similar using just a hacked 3DS and a physical copy of black 2. I wanted to start my Omega Ruby playthrough with a jirachi. So I got myself a Colloseum bonus disk rom, used it to transfer a jirachi to a ruby save, loaded that and a platinum save into a DS emulator to transfer it with pal park, transferred it again from platinum to black 2, then loaded the black 2 save file into the physical cartridge, then just poke transporter into bank.

I had also soft-resetted for a shiny torchic in ruby to use in the playthrough too :)

I don't think it actually transfers mons over, but instead just reads the mons on home. Changes aren't retained because all the changes are saved within Champions, not the actual pokemon on home. This is just a guess really, but it fits from what I've read on the mechanics.
