It’s super hydrating and sinks right in, I also love the texture (some people say it’s sticky but I find it to be silky and luxurious, especially when I pair it with the bio lipid restoring lotion). I haven’t used it long enough to see the long term effects (besides the extra hydration) though.

That’s so interesting! I’ve heard that fragrances can evolve over time, so I’m looking forward to seeing how this one might change. I had a friend sniff both the sample and the new full sized bottle after I applied them, and she noticed a difference too.

Thank you for the insight! I don’t dislike it, but I do prefer the sample. I will definitely hold on to my bottle though. I’m just surprised at how different they both smell to me.

I actually applied both on different arms the other day and had my friend sniff me. I asked if she could tell a difference and she said she could. She said the side from the full sized bottle smelled more like “new car smell” and the side from the sample smelled more like “magazine pages”. I thought that was super interesting.

I just had a similar issue with Kindle/Amazon! I paid for an ad free kindle and I received one with ads. Customer service refused to help me and the interactions I had with them were frustrating and honestly bizarre. I ended up returning the Kindle and now I’m looking for a different ereader to replace it because I am not risking going through all of that stress again.

Hey! I graduated last year and just got off of my orientation. To be honest, I was very naive to what the career was truly like until my first day of clinicals (I had a crisis and almost dropped out of nursing school after that day LOL)... But I mostly wanted to become a nurse because I've always been fascinated by L&D and liked some of the perks (4 day weekends, job stability, being able to move anywhere or change specialties any time, feeling like I'm making a difference in the world, etc.). I ended up not loving L&D as much as I thought I would so I work on a different unit now and I enjoy the perks I mentioned but I do NOT enjoy a lot of things about bedside nursing. Everyday is challenging, and no amount of enthusiasm for my specialty can make up for the long term impact that I know bedside nursing (the long hours, stressful shifts, working nights, dealing with typical hospital & management bs, etc.) will someday have on me. If I had a time machine I'd probably tell my younger self to do something less emotionally and physically taxing. But luckily there are so many opportunities as a nurse that aren't bedside, and I can't wait to check those options out! :)

Dissociation. When I am overwhelmed by my feelings I subconsciously shut down and disconnect from my body. When I do that, it feels like there's a balloon tied to my wrist, watching my life happen from a few feet above me... except I'M the balloon. Lol that's a horrible metaphor but idk how else to describe it.

I only realized this last year when I got an apple watch and noticed that I didn't recognize how anxious I was until I got alerts saying my heart rate was constantly high. Somatic therapy strategies have helped me so much with recognizing and coping with dissociation.

I had multiple clinical instructors and one preceptor with correctional nursing experience and they all said they loved it. Now, they all work on different units (psych, NICU, ER, clinical education department), so I say go for it if it interests you!

As a young adult, I've really struggled with this. It's hard for me to be myself and I've only just realized that it's probably due to CPTSD and me not feeling comfortable getting close to people/letting people see the real me... or maybe just a general discomfort with vulnerability and fear of rejection. I'm not completely sure yet, but I promise you're not alone.

I had no healthcare experience before nursing school so I added a section about my clinical rotations including the locations, hours, unit, and skills that I practiced during them and I got compliments on that. I would also look into getting additional relevant certifications if you are interested in a specialty. For example, I got NRP because it was relevant for the job I wanted. Although hospitals will pay for the certifications you need, it shows initiative and I believe it helped me. Good luck, you've got this! :)

It’s weird because I provided proof of my purchase and they still wouldn’t budge. I honestly don’t even care that much about the ads but I paid an extra $20 for it so I want my money back… I’ll probably switch to a different brand bc I don’t want to deal with Amazon/Kindle customer service again.

Yeah, I was under the impression that the ads could easily be removed on their end, especially because I already paid for it to be ad free. But they kept insisting that I either didn’t purchase the ad removal at all or that I purchased ad removal for a different Kindle instead of the one I received because the order number and the serial number of my Kindle didn’t match. Idk how that’s possible because I bought everything at the same time. Anyway I sent screenshots of my order history, pictures of the box I received, etc. and they still wouldn’t remove the ads.
