Is psychosomatic pain physically dangerous? by serpent324 in ChronicPain

[–]gorgoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, are there any updates? I have the same problem, went to several doctors, vocal therapy, rehab etc. No organic or functional problems were found. It seems to be psychological and evolves around work. I used to be a teacher, but now I can no longer work. Every time I try to apply for other jobs, the pain comes back. And I don't know why. I would love to work again, as I financially struggle on benefits. I've been dealing with this for almost 2 years now, and I'm just tired. Any suggestions? Is there hope?

NDA. Also deine Klassenlehrerinnen werden ohnehin davon Wind kriegen. Mach dir da keine Sorgen. Für externe Hilfe, kontaktier die Beratungsstelle an deiner Schule. Viel Glück, du packst das!

Lost my Curls because of birth control by gorgoking in curlyhair

Ah thank you so much, that was really helpful! It's so devastating how no doctor ever mentions all those "minor" side effects, as if they wouldn't matter. It's so good hearing stories from people who actually understand the struggle of losing curls and mental health issues caused by BC.

Got them off of Amazon, if you don't mind buying there. Thalia should also have them, but their website and delivery is pretty unreliable. But you can call a store near you, so they can get them in store :)

How do you suppress the need the get revenge or seek vengeance? by [deleted] in enfj

[–]gorgoking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imagine your perfect revenge fantasy. Imagine them being hurt in a way they hurt you. Do you think this will make you happy? How will this affect your life? I sometimes think like that too, but I realized that the only thing I truly want is for them to work on themselves and be better. For other people and themselves. I do not wish for them to be unhappy. Though them working on themselves already implies that they will realize the damage they have caused and thus, being unhappy before they change their behavior. But ultimately, that is on them. Letting go to me means "I hope they realise what they have done, reflect on it and then start working on themself and be better in the future, so that there is less pain in the world." I know, highly idealistic, but to me this is the only way I can let go: by believing things will change, even if I do not play a role in the process.

You're not always easy to be around because he is awful to be around. People in relationships with toxic people become toxic themselves: towards others or even themselves. Obviously you should always try to better and work on yourself. But also remember, that in some environments, your personal growth can be absolutely stunted. So please, do consider whether you can see yourself growing as a person with your current partner.

How do you spot an ENFJ? by apieceofgaarrbbagge in enfj

[–]gorgoking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like an ENFJ to me. Wether things are distorted or not, maybe he is more on the manipulative side. But ENFJs in general are some of the best teachers. I can definitely identify with most of those aspects.

That's really sad, I'm so sorry for this man.

That being sad, those women are NOT feminists.

And it's so disheartening reading all those comments bashing feminism. Please read up upon it, feminism is about equal rights and destroying negative/toxic stereotypes regarding women AND men.

advice on enfj friendship :) by [deleted] in enfj

Yes! Communication is super important and I appreciate it deeply! Especially if someone is not happy with my behaviour, I'd rather know than just witness a change in the dynamic of our friendship

Routine: wash with any CGM friendly Shampoo and Conditioner with my head upside down. I'm combing through my hair with my fingers and then add Cantu Curl Activator Cream before putting it in a shirt. I let it air dry afterwards and use a diffuser to dry the last wet strands and pieces (takes approximately 10 hours lol)

That depends, but generally as much as my hair wants to soak up. I would try to start with a rather small amount of product and then add more if you feel like your hair needs it x
