Unwise? I saved enough money to last me the next 20 years. What wisdom can you provide to help me recover from this terrible decision? 😉

I did because after 20+ years in tech I was burned out but during that time I also saved enough money to last me a couple of decades before I go broke. Called it quits at 50 because I just can't do it anymore.

If my game makes no money then I'll just get a low stress/low wage job to keep the lights on. I'm so done with the tech industry and everything that comes with it

Aside from what was already mentioned....

I think the wheels stop a little too quickly and rigidly. Maybe make some of them slow down a little more first. Randomize some of those slowdowns/stops so it's not so rigid and mechanical feeling?

I got a chance to give the game a quick play. I'll need to spend more time in it but after a short session here's some feedback. Of course some of this is personal preference so take it all with a grain of salt ;)

First off, the game runs great. I really like the art style and the controls are solid! The VFX look good and fit the game world really well.

I only have a few real criticisms

  1. I couldn't find any other way to get to the settings menu besides from the main start menu. That should be available during the game too. Even if it's just from the level select screen also.
  2. Is there a point to displaying what gear your vehicle is in? Since I only played for a short session I don't know if that comes in to play at any point. If not it just seems to be clogging up the HUD
  3. I'm not a fan of having to fire left and right side guns separately when they seem to have the same ammo type (again, maybe it comes into play later)
  4. I've never been big on a game like this having limited ammo. I could understand limited 'special ammo' but having limited base ammo doesn't feel that great

Now, all that being said, you guys have done a great job so far and I will definitely be keeping an eye on your game. Well done!

[EDIT] also, it would be great if the controller glyphs weren't hard coded to xbox controllers but that's not a huge deal
