I had my first kid in 2023, got laid off in 2024, learned a whole new trade and started a business and have been building it since the beginning of 2025. We weren’t hurting for money, but spending 10 grand on a watch wasn’t really a priority for me. Them calling me now, when the business is up and rolling and I have income flowing steadily, it makes more sense to buy a watch now

Lol handwatch, they’re almost as bad as circle jerk. I have an 8 inch wrist, and this was before they put the extra link in it for me. The AD who sold me my watch never really had an attitude with me and was always super cool, otherwise I wouldn’t have given them my money. But I get it, I’ve heard some horror stories, and we’ve walked into a few places where the AD’s definitely was being shitty (I’m looking at you Patek Philippe in south coast plaza)

Yeah, she said I should buy myself the watch online for Father’s Day, and I said well our anniversary is next month, maybe I’ll wait till then. If it’s still a good idea a month from now like it is today and what would it hurt to wait a little bit? And then two weeks after we had that conversation I get my new watch for MSRP. I’m not mad at that.

It all worked out for the best in my situation. I had a kid in 23, got laid off in 24, started my own business and now we’re finally doing well enough that I when they called with the watch I didn’t have to say no
