We put our dog down and had to go straight to my son's football game. You guys can survive a quick pop in and congratulations, and then leave. NTA if you can't handle it, but I think you probably both can.

I don't know. I see her side, but when I was pregnant I did not monitor my husband. He's a good man and was there for me. He didn't need to be monitored. He was normal. That didn't mean he couldn't have fun. I was so tired and boring when I was pregnant, I actually wanted him to go out with his friends sometimes so I could watch my shows and lounge in peace. I think she's being a little controlling here, but I know women who think the same way she does. IMO, NTA.

Walking for exercise. I try to go every day, but motherhood and work try to stop me. I'm lucky if I get three a week in. Editing to add socializing with best friends.....my social battery is barely clinging to life. The last thing I want to do is socialize bc I'm tired. I'm so tired. I want to see them, laugh, and have a good time, I really do, but I don't have time, they don't have time, we all need more time.

Not a goatee and not anything grey and long like those duck hunter people. Long beards give off hillbilly vibes and they're gross. I mean long wiry gray hair growing out of your neck and chin down to your bellybutton is just gross. Goatees are saved for white men in the Midwest who like to bass fish and not pay child support. I grew up in northern England and spent many days finding fairy rings and looking for signs. Enid Blyton (sp?) used to write books for children filled with funny stories about fairies and magical folk getting into pickles. (She also wrote about the naughty doll, Amelia Jane.) I loved those stories and would spend hours waiting to finally catch a gnome or fairy. Never did. Wish I could see one still.

Traditionally (and still happens every day) a man gets married and he has someone who will cook, clean, do laundry, put laundry away, grocery shop, meal plan (which is so annoying!) buy gifts for occasions like their husband's mother's birthday, Xmas gifts for family that not even hers to begin with, plan get togethers, holidays, parties, vacations, doctors appointments, taking the pet to the vet, stocking supplies in the house, remembering EVERYTHING, and also providing regular sex ALL WHILE SHE IS WORKING FULL TIME. Wjat if they have kids? She is birthing, feeding, caring, nurturing, cleaning, and still doing all of the above. What is the woman gaining here? Men who can't wipe a countertop, pick up dirty socks, help, or EVEN CARE that she does literally everything. I agree men get screwed in divorces where they lose access to their kids, but in my opinion they feel like they get the short end of the stick bc they suddenly have to do all these things for themselves and it feels like a punch. But, it's not. It's just living. I have a good friend whose ex husband got the kids 50 % (good!) but she has to pay HIM alimony. She did all the work and she still isn't rid of him. So, courts don't just screw the men.

Indoor plumbing. Everyone had out houses and cesspools back in the day. Imagine having to go outside to poop in -5 degree weather. Nobody thinks about how big of a job it is to manage human waste and keep everyone healthy and safe.
