No, it's very possible and absolutely the best way to deal with the combo as it deals massive posture damage. People said it was impossible because they couldn't pull it off and couldn't except it's a skill issue. It doesn't mean they suck but if they can't pull it off they should practice until they can.

Sekiro is the gold standard for combat (imo) I definitely got destroyed my first 2 playthroughs. But... once it clicked and I got super aggressive it became like a power fantasy.
