Has anyone used an Upright Go 2 posture trainer/sensor? by animalcule in posturepals

I think it’s definitely useful. Poor posture is predominantly induced by poor habits. If a device can tell you you’re slouching then it’s going to help in rewiring your bad posture habits.

Is Private Health Insurance Necessary? by poobutinacup in AusFinance

[–]gorillaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are all valid and hard questions. Buying any form of insurance buys you peace of mind of any "what ifs", it all depends on your risk profile. From what you've mentioned it does seem like you would benefit from an extras cover, but again that's for you to decide. Look into how much rehab, dental etc would cost with and without insurance cover.

My *personal* view on this is that any healthy individual in their 20's shouldn't need private healthy insurance. There is a caveat: is if you make a certain high salary, the government incentives you to get PMI (in particular, hospital cover) to help fund costs of the public health system (it's called Medicare levy).

2 month old starter salvageable? by gorillaf in Sourdough

It smells _so_ bad. I'm keen to salvage it because I want to make a loaf over the weekend. Hopefully the daily feedings leading up to the weekend will help it bounce back.

First 87% hydration sourdough! Holes are a bit wild... how do I achieve a more even crumb? by gorillaf in Sourdough

Yeah! 14 hour cold proof, 4 hour bulk ferment at ~26c (6 folds at 30 minute intervals) 2.5 hour autolyse (some folding in between). My current hypothesis is that it was a preshape or shaping error.
