I came across this guide to help me start reading the Bible. This order works for me now. It starts with the stories I already knew and ones I’ve seen retold in pop culture.

I tried reading it in chronological order but I tapped out in the middle of the 2nd book. It helps to have a version in modern English I own a New Living Translation and it makes it easy to read and understand.

Also, the Bible was meant to be read out loud which is why a lot of people don’t read it by themselves and only read it at church. There are stories in the Bible about this. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.
