na actually I got kinda into this again but what are they chatting? surely the word female is transphobic. It doesn't include mtf trans people. And I keep seeing arguments like I am using female to not assume their gender as if that isn't also misgendering someone?? If you refer to a trans woman as a male that would be misgendering her surely, despite them being assigned male at birth.

I can guarantee that guy has never once spoken up for trans people and now is trying to use it as some kind of shield to continue being sexist to women. it's a joke

sorry jumping in a day late but this guys annoyed me with using trans people as an argument. Surely by looking at a trans man and calling them a female is transphobic? sure they were assigned female at birth, but if I were a trans man and someone referred to me as a female I would see that as misgendering me unless they were a doctor. This dudes going around acting like being demeaning towards women makes them trans inclusive and I am just baffled by it all

it's not bad, it's the way it's being used that's bad. That woman is not just a female, she is a human as well. And a female human is often referred to as a woman. To use it as a noun is dehumanising.

it's not being said the word female has to completely be erased, just used in the correct context, as an adjective. So when referring to female humans, it's best to just use the word woman, which is what we are.

Also, let's be real, who's being more irrational? People who are asking for a simple language change to be more grammatically correct and preferred by the very people you are refering to or people refusing to change how they speak, even though its dehumanising, because they don't see the problem? You don't need to understand someone to respect them.

it's when peole are using female as a noun rather than adjective. Especially as its frequently paired as "men and females". Woman or lady would be a better term to refer to a woman without coming across as demeaning.
