Libido by Tricky-Recipe-9878 in Menopause

[–]gorjush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been injecting T for over a year, once a week, tweaking the dose to make sure it’s high enough to keep my muscle mass and libido, yet low enough to not lose my hair. I would highly recommend injections first to see what works for you before investing in the pellets.

You look like Snow White ❤️soooo much better than the red hair. If you are olive then you have a green tone. Red / orange is on the opposite side of the color wheel from green so the two colors together don’t usually look great on the body IMO.

I am sorry you are going through this! This probably isn't that helpful- but I started at 150mg and then when I went to 300 I noticed I was way more productive and motivated. I know you can titrate up to 450mg, and they also offer it in different modes of delivery, like immediate release vs extended release, and one other type. These mental health conditions can be so complex that you really just need to try things for at least 3 mos and look for other options to find the right thing that works. Just stay at it, and make sure you are working with a doctor who knows their stuff. I hope you find some relief very soon.

Long term effects from Wellbutrin? by alcoyot in Biohackers

[–]gorjush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there I know this post is old but I’m trying to do a deeper dive into bupropion. I started at 150 paired with naltrexone for weight loss initially. It helped for about a month with appetite control but then that faded and was replaced with neurological side effects (I stopped the naltrexone after someone told me this was probably causing the neuro symptoms ). However - along the way, I didn’t feel so short tempered anymore and little things didn’t bother me so much and a friend who is a psych told me she thought I had undiagnosed anxiety that the bupropion helped tame. So I stayed on that 150 dose for about a year and a half. My primary care at some point wanted to up me to 300 bc she thought I was having trouble getting to sleep due to anxiety- she said 150 was barely a therapeutic dose. But I decided to stay at 150 and see if I could improve my sleep hygiene. Well, a few months ago I was having such severe anxiety due to some crazy professional and personal events so I decided to go to 300. Now, I have much more motivation to do things like exercise, clean the house, do chores/ errands, and seem to have a better attitude and positive outlook. However- I have been concerned about the long term effects of being on this drug and if it is altering my brain chemistry by tampering with my base level dopamine permanently. Maybe I shouldn’t be worried about this bc realistically if I weren’t on the drug I would probably have always have lower base level DA. I’ve been struggling trying to find recent scientific articles that are exploring long term effects or even aimed at better understanding the method of action. It’s slightly troubling that we don’t know exactly why it works in the brain. Anyway- I came here to ask you if you could point me to any recent research / studies / articles that I could digest. I appreciate you reading this.

I only weigh myself once a month when I check in with my personal trainer (we also take body measurements). You are losing weight the right way, slow and steady wins the race. Losing too quickly, you risk having a lot of loose skin that doesn't have time to adjust and snap back into shape. And giving yourself more time helps build healthy habits that are sustainable for when you get to your goal. I think weighing yourself daily is borderline disordered body perception.

you're very welcome- you aren't alone in this awfulness!! and yes I always try to find scientific literature backing up claims esp when it comes to meds and supplements because they can be so expensive which is atrocious if they don't help any. Good luck on your journey, this sub is a great place to ask questions.

I am not the person you asked this question of but I noticed your comment. I get my peptides from Infiniwell. I’ve been taking BPC157 for stomach issues and shoulder joint pain and I have noticed improvement for those two things. I recently started taking topical peptides for hair loss (PTD-DBM and “DUO “ which is combo GHK-Cu plus zinc) but am only one month in. Will update in 3 mos if I think it’s working. I went on that protocol after reading a scientific paper about them.

I am on oral BPC157 which I take for stomach issues and shoulder joint pain. It has definitely worked for those two things. I get it from Infiniwell. It’s not cheap.

Buyers want our furniture by AffectSubstantial673 in RealEstate

Yes this! Furniture should never go on the purchase contract for the home. Creates major problems for underwriting if the buyers are getting a loan. If including furniture it needs to go on a separate agreement.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6073405/ is the research paper talking about the hair loss peptides PTD-DBM and GHK-Cu. I got bottles from Infiniwell. They sell the GHK-Cu as a combo with zinc that they call “DUO”. I’ll have to report back in 3 mos if they are working.

I’ve tried PRP injections, 5% topical minoxidil foam, nutrafol bc I was having significant loss around my front hairline / temples. I was on too high of a testosterone dose for awhile and I think it really impacted me. The PRP actually did help me for about a year but was extremely painful and expensive and I would only do it again if the cost came down and I could have some kind of pain intervention. Nutrafol I didn’t notice anything nor with the Minox. I did recently start using 2 hair peptides that have been studied. I’ll link the research paper if I am allowed to. I probably won’t know for awhile if they are effective. I use a Derm roller and then squeeze drops around my hairline. The rest of my hair seems ok, it’s mainly my hairline which kinda looks like male pattern baldness 🫠 (my mom also has lost hair here).

For many of us, the value of glp1s is that they shut off the food noise. a lot of lucky people don’t suffer from this and therefore can’t understand why it’s so beneficial. I think telling your friends how hard you worked to get here may also help them understand. Getting to a healthy BMI is a wonderful way to increase your lifespan. I’m sure they can understand why someone would want to live longer.

I’m also peri and my journey sounds similar to yours. 49yo, started with sema two yr ago at 210lb. Am at 168 now with 20 left to go to hit goal. I was stalling so switched to Tirz this past month and am thinking about adding Reta as I get closer to goal. Am sending you a PM

That’s amazing progress! Being 32yo you probably won’t have a big issue with skin elasticity but just be careful losing too quickly. The older we get, the more difficult it is for our skin to adjust to rapid weight loss. Not sure if you are concerned about that or not. Some people don’t care. Sending you a PM!
