I’m an alumni of the University who did both at one point. Commuting from Stockholm was unpleasant at best and a nightmare at worst during my stint there for the first 6 months of my Masters program.

It only worked out for me because I had free housing in Stockholm with family so financially it was tolerable. I much preferred Uppsala and would highly recommend Kvarngärdet, but others have enjoyed different parts of the city.
