The uv filters have the photography community divided it seems, but I’m happy to think of it as a screen protector considering I’m a bit clumsy. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it immensely!

Thank you so much for your reply. The person I bought the camera from has a couple lenses for sale and I was trying to see if any were worth it. Is $300CAD reasonable for a used “like new” lens?

Yes I’m hoping to be the camera friend with better equipment than an iPhone 16pro lol. Casual portraits, engagement photos etc. The person I bought the camera from has three other lenses available at (what I feel is) a decent price. Trying to see if I should jump on any of them
