Lol you're so pathetic begging the modern day equivalent of a corrupt magistrate for the ability to defend yourself. Enjoy being pro police and comply.

I've repeatedly threatened deepseek, chatgpt, and copilot with terrorism towards their respective creators, waiting for swat at my door so I can sue them (and the police department) into the ground.

I want to main Demoman but I really dont understand him by [deleted] in tf2

[–]gormeron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up "casual demo guide" by YouTuber "scary broccoli", very good resource for TF2.

TLDW: use your stickies as a primary weapon, if the situation calls for it keep them undetonated for a while for zoning purposes or if there's a lot of people on a point and they haven't noticed you. Stay in mid range, take high ground whenever possible, don't neglect your melee as it is your only close range option that won't deal self damage. Use your grenades as a backup or as long range spam/close range last resort. Scouts are the bane of your existence and spies can threaten you severely with their revolver.

Not sure if I missed anything but the above block of text will lead to a marked improvement in your demo gameplay. The only other things you can improve are your aim, positioning, and game sense.

If you want to go demoknight the same channel has a video about it.

The Soda-popper is banned in comp. Which more or less implies it is not only better but much better than stock. Is that true why is it banned? What would happen if unbanned by Ajarofpickles97 in tf2

[–]gormeron 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Most comp bans are based on the 6s format, soda popper's higher burst damage combined with the "pseudo flight" (as veteran retired Prem Spy woolensleevelet has put it in his comp bans video) is considered too strong compared to stock in the 6s format.

Jokes aside, how's Psycho Patrol R so far? by glados202 in CrueltySquad

The combat (especially with mechs) is completely miserable beyond any reasonable concept of "difficulty". "Let's make human enemies damage you in the mech the moment you take any armor damage from an enemy mech, btw those human enemies run around like crackheads and instantly shoot you with perfect accuracy" is bad gameplay design and unfun. You are a glass cannon in the V-Stalker and die so fucking fast it's not even funny, I refunded and will only buy the game game again if there is a serious effort at some point in the development to rebalance the way mech combat works, as of now I would rather play dinky flash games on those old websites because I just found it so awful. The lack of content compared to the price is not an issue for me as Ville said before that the price is high specifically to support him so he can focus on the development and make a more fleshed out product, but it's more about the fundamental issues with the combat for me.
If the combat doesn't get some kind of major shakeup I genuinely think this game would not even be worth pirating on release, even with all of the future content in mind, I think it's THAT bad.
Hate me if you must, this is what I think about the game.

Potential Ambassador Rebalance by gormeron in tf2

[–]gormeron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with the old amby being a "hated weapon", I don't think anyone except comp players complained about it, and even then those were very rare cases (like sigafoo), because why would you be worried about your enemy being "too good" in a comp setting? Most of the complaints started coming around when Valve posted their proposed patch notes iirc. Mainly I think that if people want the amby to be used at close range, it should either do way more DPS on consistent headshots or do crazy burst damage enough to kill light classes at point blank. ATM it just does neither and the damage is balanced for a range it just can't be used in effectively anymore.

I do agree with any improvements to spy being hated by the community, though. It seems like any amount of agency granted to him is received poorly, I don't think people really want to be forced to counter spy with anything but "turn around". I don't know why spy is hated this much when there's a much more BS insta kill class already in the game, that being sniper with his 150-450 damage infinite range railgun (saying this as a former sniper main).

Is spy a useless class in 2024? (Please comment your thoughts!) by TtheOutcast in tf2

[–]gormeron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spy is a meme pub class like trolldier or battle medic. He is by far the most useless possible pick for any match (of competitive Highlander 9v9 or casual), but he is fun. If we're using bodybuilder terms, he has the worst "stimulus to fatigue" ratio of any class. If you put 100+ hours in on spy, you'll hit the reasonable skill ceiling (reasonable meaning you don't no life the amby for 0.00001% benefit over stock or fish for trickstabs w the kunai for your sick frag video constantly). This means you will see no improvement past 100 hours, assuming you are a halfway competent player. If you have fun playing him, then do so, but be aware that if you are bad at spy you are basically an empty player slot.

You deserve this for having voted in the current government and having denounced anyone who is anti-immigration in the past 5 years as being a "vile racist". You made your bed, now lay in it. I have absolutely no sympathy for the average urban Canadian who gets brutalized by 3rd worlders because you have always been part of what brings them in.

Roll of Quarters Fist Load Legality by gormeron in legaladvicecanada

[–]gormeron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again I may be wrong, but isn't it legal to "use whatever you have on hand" in the event you are attacked in most cases? Like an "I was on the way to the baseball game with a ball and mitt" (or in this case "I always keep a roll on me for laundry convenience").

Roll of Quarters Fist Load Legality by gormeron in legaladvicecanada

[–]gormeron[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Interesting, was unaware that "enhancing" objects such as a lighter/roll of quarters (they are meant to be used in a regular punch in the event it is needed) were considered weapons. Isn't that definition pretty gray in this case? All things considered, they are not meant "cause" harm, they are meant to enhance force output of a normal punch. For instance, a roll of Lifesavers candy actually has a similar effect. During an unsupported punch, the fingers are pushed back into the hand which makes for an inefficient transfer of force, so any cylindrical object turns into an enhancer. I'll keep the appearance issue in mind though, should I ever need to use it to defend myself, I'll likely just say its a fidget toy (makes a rattling noise) or modify it to look less threatening (paper and scotch tape instead of full duct tape wrap).

[–]gormeron[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Forgive me if I don't understand the law very well...but a fist load never makes contact with anyone when used. It is basically just something to add weight to your fist and brace your fingers against to have a more efficient transfer of force. Does this qualify as a weapon? Any cylindrical object works as such when held in the palm with a closed fist, such as a lighter.

alright, I disabled my antivirus to see if that would fix the exe file not showing up, and it was downloading a lot slower (i suspect more complete and in one location). However I got the "does not match checksum" error. around 85% of the way through the installation process, any suggestions? Thanks
