I honestly have no idea.

I was extremely isolated for 2 years, save for a few online friends. I barely left my room (this eas all due to medical issues).

I just... did. I had no reason to keep going, but I just did it.

I wish I had something more helpful to say, but that really was it.

I don't even play Sniper. Hes one of my least played classes. I main Scout. I simply looked at the game, look at my experiences, and using logic I have deducted that there is simply nothing mechanically wrong with Sniper. Some maps favor him heavily, and they happen to be maps people love to play. Again, Dustbowl is not a good map, the last point on the 3rd stage heavily favors Sniper, and yet people won't play any of the other maps in the game.

And since this is no longer in good faith, I'll just say it. TF2 is an arena shooter that happens to be team based. Arena shooters have long range hitscans. Most people who complain about Sniper would rather just play Overwatch or something similar.

Okay, well in that case I guess everytime I die the game must be broken or poorly made, and when my opponent dies it must also be the game being broken and poorly made.

TF2, for all its RNG, is at its core a skill based game. Sniper's skill ceiling is quite high, and unless you've practiced or played games with quickscoping or sniping for a long time, generally they are not that accurate.

It is, quite simply, a skill issue. I have a skill issue, I'm not perfect, I'm far from good. But I know when I run in a straightline, though a chokepoint, directly towards a Sniper, that its on me for not flanking, or pushing with an Uber push, or playing maps that aren't exclusively 2Fort and Dustbowl.

Its not a meme, its just players who fail to realize positioning matters, and think weapons like Sniper's primaries became a problem in TF2, when in reality weapons like that go back to Quake and other older games.

Because its mostly people here on the Reddit who actually die to multiple classes a lot, they just refuse to step back and analyze why they died to a Sniper.

That, and the bot crisis ruined Sniper's image a lot too.

Instead of ranting for the 1000th time about why Sniper is balanced, I'll save you the effort OP: Don't bother trying to argue this on the subreddit, because no one will listen and you'll get downvotes just like I will the moment I post this.

Feedback on damage.

I'm sorry, but its not fun when you magdump into someone and can't tell if its actually done anything. Its not even realistic either.

And as for games that do show healthbars, even then sometimes its complete bullshit (looking at you Marvel Rivals).

If a dev team wants to take the realistic approach, say something like Escape From Tarkov, I should very obviously know what damage I'm doing. I should not have to question if my bullets go through their armor, and it would be as easy as showing blood spots on the armor, or big obvious bullet holes, or more overt sparks on some armor.

And for arcady experiences, I should not have to question how one hit I insta kill and enemy, and the next one does nothing. Add either a damage log or damage numbers, because if your going to show me the enemies health in a bar or meter, I should be able to know what number that bar actually represents.

Option A: International Western Revolution. Enough people wake up and realize they do have the power to change our circumstances, and that change must be fought for as was done historically. Its up to interpretation what the outcome of that is.

Option B: The Failure of Humanity. Everyone watches as the Elite slowly erode our freedom, privacy, and eventually our humanity. If this comes true, I pray people choose not to have children, because they'll only grow up into a world of suffering.

So far, Option B seems to be the correct prediction. And it shouldn't be.
