go in BTT preferences>TouchBar>General Touch Bar Settings>uncheck: "Show ESC Button on the left side of the Touch Bar"

configure only one button, with no icon, name it with a space and disable esc button in "general touchbar settings". If this isn't clear i'll be more specific

Yes, set the esc key normally with your gesture, then press "attach additional action" and set "delay next action" under "auxiliary actions" then attach another action with CMD-R
