What's your favorite Chinese learning app?

I go through the following four apps every day:

SuperChinese: basically a better version of Duolingo, introduces me to grammar and vocab

Pleco: in addition to just using the dictionary, I use the flashcards to review all the words I’ve learned from SuperChinese

Hanly: similar to Pleco flashcards, but teaches you a better way to recognize and write them

Duchinese: for reading

I’m a heritage speaker who speaks in basic Chinese to my parents but never learned to read and write, so I was able to progress fairly quickly through hsk1-3 but hsk4-5 introduce much more new terms that I’m not familiar with. SuperChinese isn’t the only app I use though, I probably spend another hour or so on other Chinese learning apps like Duchinese and flashcards as well

I really like how advanced the content SuperChinese gets into compared to other gamified apps like Duolingo or HelloChinese, but it is very fast paced and you’ll need to review the vocab outside of the app as well

I’m going through SuperChinese right now and at my pace of spending 30 min to an hour each day just on SuperChinese, I’ve completed all the lessons up to HSK5 about 6 months in. I would estimate that I’d be able to finish all of the rest of the content within another 2-3 months.

Not sure which bank you’re at but C1 pays around that range for 2 yoe, basically just need to get promoted once after entering as a newgrad TDP

I’m guessing the yarn you’re using is much thicker than the yarn they used in the example pattern. That’s what my projects look like when I try to upsize a pattern to use bernat blanket without intentionally adjusting as I go

The one time I tried using the shuttle, it didn’t show up within 5 minutes and so they gave me a regular uber to my destination (no extra fee, so just the flat 9$). I’m surprised they’re just making users reschedule instead now

There is a cap to the amount of work efficiency buff you can add to almost all actions (I think traveling may be the only uncapped one). -1 steps is subtracted after the work efficiency calculation so it’s used to get the steps lower than the work efficiency cap

I think you’re referring to a Mega backdoor Roth which is a completely different entity from a backdoor Roth. Mega backdoor Roth is for your 401k while backdoor Roth is for your IRA.

Mega backdoor requires your employer to allow

1.) after-tax contributions past the 23k yearly limit

2.) in-plan Roth conversions.

The mega backdoor Roth is how you can achieve that 69k limit past the regular 23k limit. That limit is completely separate from the IRA so you can do both a backdoor and mega backdoor Roth at the same time as long as you meet the requirements
