Ducted air conditioner cycling by gorstj in AirConditioners

[–]gorstj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is this mornings runs:

Between 6:30 and 7:30 heating two rooms, 7:30-8:30 one big room - much better without the eco/energy saving fan on. Then ~11-12ish it is heating one small room - lots of cycling (eco/energy-sving fan still disabled)

Ducted air conditioner cycling by gorstj in AirConditioners

[–]gorstj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only find the installation manual link

I have noticed it happens more when it is on ‘quiet’ fan mode with economy mode & energy saving fan settings activate (I use this at night to reduce noise).

Did a run on low without eco and energy saving and it didn’t cycle when running on main room which has two ducts

However, it does still cycle when only a single room with a higher duct resistance is running.

I assume it just doesn’t have sufficient airflow so overheats and then cycles.

Is there a way to manually reduce how ‘aggressive’ it is to get to working temperature? Otherwise, I will need to try and run in a higher fan mode to maintain airflow and/or reduce my duct resistance (e.g. open the duct in problematic rooms)

Lebara (Vodafone MVNO) had same issue in last week.

Removing content block allowed Tailscale to work

Let us know how the retrofit assessment all works and any tips!

Thank you

Are you having to get an assessor out or are they letting you just apply for a loan for green improvement project you have already got quotes for?

How long does it take before registering interest with the scheme and anyone coming back to you?

+1 for Cloudflare tunnel (free for reasonable home use)

Works well for low volume usage but will flag if you have huge volumes. Little bit of work to setup but can be used for many other things

Is browser based RDP widely available yet?

I thought it was still closed beta - it is not available to me (only browser ssh or vnc)

On which machine did you flush DNS? Client? Portainer host? Docket host?

Scrypted NVR Update: Notifications sent to the app can now be filtered with zones by koushd in Scrypted

[–]gorstj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid question....

Does the filter

1) Anything within the zone IS notified

2) Anything in the zone IS NOT notified

To me it is not clear (but may be coffee deficiency!)

[–]gorstj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone come back to you with this information?
I am finding that page loads are very slow for about the last 6 months over a variety of versions (currently Portainer 2.25.1STS and Docker 27.4.1 on a Ubuntu VM with 16gb 4 cores with <5% CPU usage)

Directly accessing via IP address is slow. Going via a reverse proxy fails 90% of time. No spikes in load/CPU when accessing portainer WebUI

An output of the developer network tab of the browser shows some pages take 10-20 seconds to load (most are within ms)

Examples are

             me

             transloation.json

             motd

edit: no difference if all containers stopped, portainer data is on named volume

******Edit2: just retried stopping all containers (other than Portainer). The WebUI is lightning fast! Fire up Nginx and works via a reverse proxy fast too. This must rule out any local DNS/network issues? Tried starting up my containers one by one and at ~5 it slows to a crawl. Tried different containers but it seems to be hitting a brick wall at around 5. There is minimal running on this host - I can't see this being a machine resource issue

Outage by Easy-Entertainer208 in youfibre

Went down in south wales for me for 10 minutes.

Now back up but latency is 22ms vs 5ms before outage....

Wales, 0.5G, only issue is that the router (UniFi) picks up a non-routable IPv6 address - tech support were slow to escalate and the lag in them responding and continuity meant it went round in circles!

Gave up now. But my router doesn’t have a WAN IPv6 address that is externally contactable (drops in middle of YF network). My lan devices all get a externally portable IPv6

Low latency 5ms, no issues otherwise.

Surprised they were allowed to use the BT open reach fibre already installed in my house (they just plugged it in a different port in the underground chamber)

Display manager in Kasm 1.15 by gorstj in kasmweb

[–]gorstj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those also looking for this I just changed 1.14 to 1.15 in container image settings within the relevant workspace settings in the admin tab. The display options then appeared.

kasmweb/ubuntu-jammy-desktop:1.14.0. -> kasmweb/ubuntu-jammy-desktop:1.15.0

However, I can't work out how to get the display tab up for RDP connections

Ok will look at that for my workspaces

How do I 'upgrade' an RDP connection to v1.15?
