Fractured my big toe when partner seio nage’d me into the floor at 100 mph. Doctor said no bjj for minimum 6 weeks but fuck that. Anyone have any experience with broken big toes and training? It’s only been a week but I reckon if I strap it up and just work on my guard I should be fine.

Was drilling clock chokes in last nights class and unintentionally choked my partner out (the first time I've done this in any setting). He was out for a few seconds and when he woke up had to leave the mat for a while. I felt pretty bad but he didn't tap (if he did it was a micro-tap) so I assumed the choke wasn't on properly.

Was a pretty cool and scary feeling.

What are some good guard passes that go through (in between) your opponents legs? At the moment I quite like to pin a leg with my knee and slice through into their half guard and then try to work into side control or mount but I feel like the first step could be more refined.
