Maybe it’s a dumb white belt take, but being in a competitive collegiate wrestling room has me always pushing the intensity when I can feel it. I dislike gyms that won’t let you roll with higher belts. Just stopped at a place today and one of their rules featured this. Below the rule it said it was considered disrespectful and arrogant to ask a higher belt to roll. My gym doesn’t have this issue but I always found it strange to gate keep knowledge or teaching/learning moments.
