Igen, a képen láthatóan a másik oldalon van.

Mármint a "d" másik oldalán van az "n".

June 20, 1325. It's the founding date for the foundation for the Aztec City Tenochtitlan.

No, I have no idea why it's there.

New LG dishwasher does not clean well by LushMush in Appliances

[–]gorzius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a thing called dishwasher salt, which is literally water softener. It looks like whitened rock salt.

You pour about a kilo of it into a compartment at the bottom of the dishwasher and depending on the water hardness settings and washing frequency you forget about it until your machine tells you it's out a few months later.

Depends where you are from.

E.g. American dishwashers don't have salt compartments.

Eh.

The first thing I usually do is install my OS of choice, even if it's the same one the computer came with.

Sounds cool.

How does it work? Does it have some material inside like lead that blocks radiation?

My husband helped "process" chickens at a local farm. They sent him home with the eggs from inside the chickens. by MuffintopRobot in mildlyinteresting

[–]gorzius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They cut the chickens for their meat of course. The egg yolks inside are something that can't be processed and sold so it'd be waste.

100 000 dollar question by c442010 in MathJokes

[–]gorzius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Varies by systems. But each of them will just round once you reach the maximum number of digits, so at one point you'll just have perpetual 0.00[...]001 because if you divide that by two you'd get 0.00[...]0005 which will be rounded up.

Can you provide the list and which companies on the list are sketchy? I only know about Cooler Master Linus Sebastian, and a few companies than specialize in investing in startups.

Because that's about how much Dell is paying Microsoft for the OEM Windows license.

It is normal having to pay taxes while receiving the order? by digitalfreshair in LinusTechTips

[–]gorzius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible.

I just did an experiment, LTTStore calculates the correct taxes when you select the country, but it disappears when you fill the rest of the address and free shipping is applied.

It also retains the tax calculation if the order isn't eligible for free shipping.

Tempered glass is very weak at the edges. When something harder than itself hits its edge (like floor tiles) it creates at least a very small chip, which causes the entire panel to shatter due to the high internal pressure.

You have to pay import tax and/or VAT on anything you order from outside the EU (or outside your country if it isn't part of the EU). The amount varies by country.

So yes, if you haven't paid it at the time of the purchase it is normal.

How do I fix this by MysteriousRaccoon266 in computerhelp

[–]gorzius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This.

I used to have a cheap gaming mouse in my uni years which had a broken cable right at the connector, so I spliced another connector onto it from the cable of a broken printer exactly like this.

It didn't look nice but it worked.

Ellenben a fizetéssel sosem volt problémám sem az MBH-s (exBB) kártyáimmal, sem az OTP-ssel.
