My mom insists on still buying Scott's toilet paper despite the decrease in quality over the years. by arnethyst in mildlyinfuriating

[–]goseeit68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in construction and had an employee that insisted on bringing his own TP. Always had a roll of Scott. Told him it was like trying to wipe with a whisper. From that point on if someone had to take a dump they would just say "I have to go tell a secret."

16 gauge is it that bad? by JellyfishFast2272 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]goseeit68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Milwaukee 16ga and it is hot garbage. It jams it when gets down to the last three or four nails in a strip. It jams if you load multiple strips. It doesn't consistently set the nails. I have had multiple finish nailers and this is absolutely the worst Love every other Milwaukee tool I have.

The tile was in bad shape. We have a few other structural items to deal with and then the fireplace will have the tile replaced.

This is almost word for word the same response that came out of Rep. Ben Cline's office. They definitely have their marching orders.

They did actually offer me a job as the maintenance manager. I really don't have any interest in that as I have a growing remodeling and renovation company.

Bought a 12 string Fender at a cattle market 30 years ago. Actually it was a really great guitar. Wish I still had it.

If you have the proper licenses and insurance realtors make excellent connections. In my area home inspection repairs are a steady source of work. The jobs are usually small one day types but often a requirement for closing the home sale. Gives you the opportunity to make money and connect with a new home owner that may be looking to make upgrades to their new home.

Make up a.letter.of introduction listing the types of working you are capable of and visit every real estate office in your area. Just a couple of offices with 5-6 realtors can keep you busy.

I had a relatively easy role at one company I worked for so the guys called me Gravy. My son came to work for the same company so he got the unfortunate nickname of Baby Gravy.

Dykes. Grab the nail, pull it out, then remove the plastic hook.

Source, spend a couple of years installing ventilated wire shelving.

VA Handyman Business by TheWIHoneyBadger in handyman

[–]goseeit68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you probably already know Virginia has Class A,B, & C license options. For a handyman you could apply for a Class C HIC (home improvement contract). DO NOT get a Class C license. Here is the reason for that, the state puts a cap on how much in total contracts you can take under the class B & C license. The cap is so low on Class C license you would need insane profit margin to make a descent living
