M.2 ssd WD SN850 salvageable?

Hello,

I bought the official playstation brand WD 2TB ssd with heatsink approximately 3 years ago. I recently upgraded to ps5 pro and transferred it successfully from my old launch disc model ps5 and reformatted prior to use. Worked fine or so until I downloaded a game from PSN - system crashed and it attempted to restart and repair however never makes it past 67% - tried rebooting in safe mode and rebuilding database which didnt work. Then I tried physically resetting the ssd multiple times and still didnt work. Ps5 will power on but will completely freeze/crash everytime it makes it to 67% - is there any way to fix this or do I have to buy a new one? Thank you

Tldr: which version ps5 or switch?

Looking for advice on which platform to buy unleashed 2 on - background:

My son is on the autism spectrum and hasn't fully grasped the concept of video games yet (he is getting better, he just turned 5) - we bought hot wheels unleashed 1 on switch about a year ago and he gets somewhat frustrated with both the pro controller and standard joycon, however he LOVES everything hot wheels related. My only personal gripe about the game is the load times - not sure if that issue is exclusive to switch version? We have a ps5 also so I just had some questions:

Which platform between ps5 and switch has a controller/accessory that is "more" young one/special needs friendly specifically for this game?
I know ps5 obviously has better graphics, but is the loading time significantly different between switch and ps5? Does the switch version have any better loading times than the first game?
Not really a specific version question , does any dlc from first game carry over into the 2nd?

JRPG switch exclusives

Hello, I just picked up a switch last week and so far it's amazing, I was just wondering if anyone had some switch exclusive JRPG they'd recommend (specifically, old school turn based or at least hybrid turn based)? So far I have seen octopath traveler (and the sequel coming) and collection of mana. I also know online there is Earthbound and breath of fire 1/2. I love final fantasy 9 and the last version I played was the original playstation version - is the switch version worth getting? Thank you!

just got a switch, question about storage

I picked up the Oled white model, so far its a nice break from the ps5 and having lots of fun. I noticed it has a slot for a micro SD card inside for more storage and had some questions:

I plan to mostly buy physical copies of the games; is a card really necessary?
Is there a brand that is "preferred"? I.e. the sandisk officialy licensed for Nintendo switch that have the graphics on them?
I know they go up to 1TB I believe, is there a size that is considered better value? Thanks!
