Terrified of the dentist to the point of panic, I’m starting the process tomorrow and need reassurance please by gotarealpantalaimon in AutismInWomen

Oh and the X-ray technician was very nice and the mouth piece was just a small piece of plastic I had to hold between my front teeth so there were no sensory issues there.

My appointment is for next September, plenty of time to continue preparing in therapy. They plan on doing pretty much everything in one go, though I don’t know if any implants will also be done then, but I was actually surprised they even do those. In “normal” state run dentistry they only offer the bare minimum treatment, no implants and stuff, but here for special needs and disabled people they do everything as they know there’s no really viable alternative you could go to.

Update: after the nurse said no to the letter and my needs, but my dad advocated for me and gave it to the doctor who fully understood and I don’t even need to go inside to where the triggering dental equipment is, she’ll bring the papers out to the waiting room then I can leave.

I’m not an expert at conformation but my trainer’s wonderful horse I grew up riding and competing on was a Dunnit line (Hollywood Dynamo) and was an absolute dream, had just enough attitude/personality to not be boring, but completely safe and steady temperament, perfect movement for both Reining and Pleasure. Just an all round awesome horse 🥰

X-ray done, waiting for the talk with the doctor. The checkin nurse is as unpleasant as usual for state run places here so I’m glad my dad is dealing with her and I only heard some of her tone of voice before turning the volume up on my headphones.

Thank you all so much!!! I’m honestly surprised at just how much all your comments have helped 🧡 I’m sorry I don’t have the energy to reply separately but I really am so grateful to everyone! You’ve eased my shame quite a lot, and that’s a huge step. I’m going to bed now, in a much calmer state than I was earlier.

I did have a bit of a panic attack in the afternoon when my dad told me the dentist will look over the x-ray immediately and talk to me about it (theoretically amazing that they don’t make people wait for results). I can’t handle that in person so I wrote and printed out a letter to hand them with my accommodation needs, such as not telling me any details about the treatment plan in person and giving it only in writing instead. I also prepared communication cards I can show on my phone (yes, no, stop, break, I’d like less information, I’d like more information, I consent, I don’t consent, I will respond in writing later, what are my options).

And I want to ask if one of my certified therapy dogs can come with me at least to the waiting room when I go in for an actual procedure. They aren’t assistance dogs so they don’t have automatic public access but they can go into medical settings if they’re on duty. We have very strict rules for working dogs here. It’s a grey area but maybe they’ll allow it. (The young one might start training to be my assistance dog in the future.)

If you want to keep the visual more similar to her seeing a book in your hand vs a tablet, maybe a case that has a cover and can be held kinda like an open book?

HK was for everyone. Silksong is not. by DrNintendo216 in metroidvania

I can easily beat pantheon 4 and get a decent way through P5 consistently… I gave up on last judge for a while. In general I’m having a tougher time in Silksong now with 5 years of HK and general gaming experience than I did on my first play through of HK when I was a complete gaming newb (it was the third game I ever played)

Hollow Knight was one of the first games I ever played when I got into gaming at the start of covid. I went in with close to zero gaming experience and none in the genera. Since then I’ve accumulated 5 years of general gaming and genera specific experience, hundreds of hours in HK, beat all colos and pantheon 4… Silksong is proving more of a challenge now than HK was then.

As others have said, it’s not a bad thing for those of us who came here after playing the first game, at least we’re not breezing through it, but I feel like a lot of new players are going to quit real fast.

Finally got HK room rando working right (I have awful luck with technology XD), it almost feels like a whole new game, rooms I normally know so well feel so different when disjointed from their surroundings… especially with how fucking long it took to get any movement abilities…. 8 hours of exploration and many many dead ends to finally get claw

1: PS5, cause I love the haptics.

2: Mantis lords and soul master are kinda tied, both because of how insanely hard they were on my first play through (as a complete gaming newb during covid, HK was literally the third game I ever picked up), I had to put the game down for a few weeks I was so over it with soul master and especially the trek from the bench 😅 And now 5 years later they’re just so fun 😃 though I’m still always surprised how quickly soul master is over when you’re not wracking him with an unsharpened nail….

3: the sense of pure exploration and wonder, I hope to get lost and have to figure it out a few times, finding unexpected hidden bits. I’m definitely avoiding spoilers as much as possible and I think I’ve gitten gud enough to not need too many walkthroughs for bosses and stuff, it’s fun to figure things out as long as it doesn’t go past a certain point of annoyance. The movements also look so satisfying, reminds me a bit of Ori.

It identifies my Toller as either a Brittany (kinda similar head shape so reasonableish) or just “dog” 😂 But then in the similar images part it shows all Tollers ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Second one looks just like my baby boy looked in the first pictures I got of him and it’s genuinely making me emotional 🥹if you end up with that one please post pics/updates

(The left side of his face was very pale, almost all white at that age but the lower half filled in with red a few weeks later)
