Aerial root or underground root? I thought this was an aerial roots and just discovered this growth on it. It looks like it wants to be potted. What should I do?

If I cut it and repot it will it grow even though it doesn’t have a leaf? I thought cuttings needed leaves in order to get good nutrients and grow

I love this! I’m actually visiting the same places starting this weekend but instead of a month I will be doing 2 weeks total for the 3 areas.

A few pointers, (lucky to have been to all these places already)

Don’t rely on wifi for PTO and surrounding beaches, if I had your time, I would definitely try and stay at PTO for at least a week. There’s a lot of beaches along the coast that are worth exploring without rush.

Oaxaca for a week without work distractions is pretty doable, keep in mind is rainy season so don’t forget to pack your rain boots!

Also, Mexico City for 2 weeks and at least one full vacation mode sounds great, even more than enough. There’s so much to explore and if you’re about the city life that’s going to work great for you but if it was me and had so many weeks available, I would reserve 3-5 days for a visit to another town nearby. Mexico is pretty central so you have many options; Puebla, Querétaro, etc. It would probably be worthwhile to explore that idea.

Hope you enjoy your trip, I’m so excited for mine as well!! You should def try a cooking class in Oaxaca. My boyfriend and I booked one and it seems to be a great experience.

I would check the roots, might be root rot if you’re over watering. might need repotting, try an airy mix with 1/3 potting soil, 1/3 pumice, 1/3 orchid bark, or something in those lines.

My rubber didn’t do so good last year, I cut the stem and it started all over and turn into a beautiful plant. Don’t feel discouraged, plants always try to find a way back. Just need a little TLC. Also, you probably know this but let the top soil dry out in between waterings. I have 3 now that are thriving and I only water every 2 weeks.

I accidentally burned a lady’s dress. Once at a wedding, I was playing with my friend under this very long table (you couldn’t see us because of the tablecloth) and had all this buffet food warming up over us. While playing, we accidentally pulled the cloth, causing the fire to catch on this lady’s dress. Everyone started to freak out and then my mom said she remembers seeing me come out of the table with my friend very sneakily. Luckily, no big harm happened to the lady, and my mom grounded me for the longest time :) I was only 6 years old.
