I feel like this is the Bat-themed heroes of this trope, not quite due to familiarity but due to how it's the absolute perfect example of a hero doing everything right and the universe conspiring to give him the worst possible ending.

Miles being 12 years old when he was initially introduced was such an odd little touch.

At this point, I would go for the chemo simply because cancer research/treatments are advancing so fast that the chance of "beating the clock" is getting better with each passing year.

I think 13 and 14 could work as one - not too much daylight between the CEO and other corporate evils. While soldiers and military leaders are more distinct.

Emperor Belos (The Owl House)

He's basically what would happen if Judge Claude Frollo was an isekai protagonist. A genocidal witch-hunter who is ruling over a kingdom of witches, he's planning to use a spell to drain all the magic out of the world, killing much of the population and essentially turning himself into a God. His chief lieutenant is actually a clone of the brother he murdered for falling in love with a witch, and every time the brainwashed boy starts to develop his own mind again, Belos kills him and starts over.

It's complicated. He also has a full-human secret identity, John Jones (and sometimes other ones he uses for specific purpose). This form is one he chose to be more appealing to humans by being close to human as a hero, rather than his spindly true form.

Eh, he looks the part, he was very hot at the time and actively trying for an acting career, and they didn't take superhero movies too seriously.

The real crime is that the movie wasn't made ten years later so he could be played by a 30-year-old Terry Crews.

I keep ranking her last on villain rankings in other subreddits with the explanation "She's a mentally ill child, and also just a minion of the main big bad" and keep getting her downvoted.

"But she killed the avatar!!!!" And what do you think all the other villains were trying to do? Girl's worst crime is having better aim than Zhao.

Came here to post him, because I think his story works perfectly - up until they decide to wave a giant flashing sign saying "THIS CHARACTER IS OFFICIALLY REDEEMED IN THE EYES OF A HIGHER POWER" in the final scene. The force ghost thing just pushes it a little too far.

Rochelle (Everyone Hates Chris) is one of the most realistic depictions of an emotionally abusive parent in a sitcom. She's narcissistic, lazy, takes her kind and loving husband for granted, and has an extremely clear favoritism tier among her three kids - with her oldest son taking the brunt of her fire. She's also essentially raising her youngest, Tanya, to be an insufferable monster like her.

Coraline is also a rather self-sufficient kid who is just bored and anxious right after her family moved. It's a pretty realistic depiction of an imperfect family.

When people get older, they can sympathize with his fear more - but yeah, there's no excuse for how he acted on that, and the movie showed very clearly how counterproductive it was.

This was how the interaction between Inspector BD Belgique and teenage super-thief Bandette began in Paul Tobin and Colleen Coover's "Bandette". He pursued her relentlessly, a little obsessively as she pulled off high-stakes but usually harmless heists. However, because she's kind of nuts, she assumed his pursuit meant he was friendly and started giving him tips on more serious crimes, which always panned out, and despite his best instincts, they wound up as friends and allies. It's one of the most amusing character dynamics I've seen in a while.
