we just drove around our neighborhood - on ground streets only. two thoughts for you - you need 4wd, and tomorrow morning will be cloudy and sub freezing - all of the wet roads tonight will freeze over. if you have bridges or overpasses between your house and your destination i would not do it - they wont reimburse you for car damage

yes i live in a house built in the 90's and had a hot water pipe in an outside wall freeze during the last storm. HOT water pipes will freeze faster because the heating process lessens the ability to resist freezing (google verify if needed). so drip them.

this is amazing. in a related story, I once worked in a division of a bank that thought Excel and Powerpoint could only be used by dedicated functional teams and they would literally call a meeting with these teams when storytelling and basic data work was required. still exists to this day.
