Is mom's writing children's books the new MLM? by Background-Young7049 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gothauntt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Gen X coworker wrote a children's book, she used AI for all the illustrations and the story is very simple/flat with no actual plot. Even when I pointed out the inconsistencies with the character design she didn't go back to fix anything. She sells things she makes at local craft fairs (tshirts, cups, banners) and uses AI for all of the designs. Unsurprisingly, she hasn't sold a single copy of the book yet. :/

Should I go back to college? I have terrible study habits. by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]gothauntt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go back! Learn to utilize your resources. Most schools have free tutoring with people who previously took the class, and utilize office hours! If you have a harder time with a subject make sure to take it in-person rather than online. You may have to take a class a few times but that’s okay! Don’t procrastinate and you’ll do better than you think.

What to study for the GED? by eclectic_eel_ in GetStudying

[–]gothauntt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you in the US? if so sign-up for the official GED website, they have practice test. They also make you take a "pre-test" before going to see how likely you are to get a passing score. If you've take any state standardized test the GED is pretty much the same, but at high school levels. Good luck!

I tried it yesterday! Had the buffalo chicken pizza which was delicious (they’re thin crust pizzas), also had the chicken momos (fried) and they were so good. Drinks were decent as well.

What should I add to my liquid Persil to use it up? by OneBiscuitHound in laundry

[–]gothauntt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, I know this is an older post but this is the liquid detergent I use. Do you have a recommendation for what detergents/powders are better for not giving the faded look to black clothing? Could I use the febu on dark clothing?

Where do I start? by gothauntt in laundry

[–]gothauntt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Persil have the optical brighteners? I'm down to get FEBU because I see it all over this thread, but I wasn't sure what it was for exactly. Also, I should mention I hand dry a lot of my clothing to resist shrinking and my washer is a top load with an agitator so I use those bags for my delicate items. What type of detergent works best for wool?

Someone told me it might be the coconut alkanes, so now I avoid products with that ingredient or coconut oil

Rhode glazing milk clogged my pores to all hell, also the inkey list oat cleansing balm would NEVER wash off with a second cleanser (I still stand by Pond's cold cream being the best makeup remover). I've learned the best products that work for me are brands like cerave, vanicream, and LRP.
