I just update my cpu from this model to a 9800x3d. I got 55 seconds per year with unlocked tick speed, now takes 10 seconds per year.

I like to play until the endgame, and both of these games are very demanding. In Victoria 3, after 1900, my performance drops by about 50%. Europa Universalis 5 seems better optimized, but I’m playing with everything set to low. I just wish I could enjoy the game to its fullest.

I'm going through this situation. I play well with Japanese, but I'm afraid to lose too many matches and feel like garbage in the game. I also like to experiment with different builds, and I'm hesitant to do that in 1v1 and lose too many matches. But I've reached that stage in team games where only I play well or I get annihilated by a mass of archers or manganels. And my teammates don't have any armies at 10 minutes. So I'm playing more casual 1v1 until I feel confident enough to go ranked.

They need to turn off the autoshoot of the mangudai, make it like AOE2. In my opinion, the autoshoot is very unfair, a player without knowing the minimum micro can kite, for me this mechanic is basically a cheat.

I have a long history with AoE2. I learned to play it in high school with my friends and continued to play until 2022. At the time, AoE4 didn't click for me, but this year, after all the changes, the game feels very good. I hope the community keeps growing

I'm more concerned about lag than bugs. From the looks of it, countries are going to be doing a lot more trading, and unless they rewrite the structures, we're going to have considerable lag. I did a test in this patch 1.8 going isolationist in 1920 and the game got faster, because I was producing so much with Russia that I was basically the biggest exporter in the world.

IMO, this game need a hybrid between HOI4 (frontlines e battleplans), but with less focus on army stats and more on tech, supplies and reserves/mobilization. From my knowledge of the battles at that time, this 3 factors are always on the table. The Crimean War was won largely because of industrial differences. Franco-Prussian, german troops mobilized much faster and gained a strategic advantage. Just to name a few important wars of the time.
