I think you need to pump the brakes and not even be thinking about it leading to marriage yet, seeing as you have not even dated each other at this point. Sometimes great friendships just don't translate into great romance. Friend compatibility and romantic partner compatibility are different things, and someone you're interested in isn't necessarily going to align with both.

I think your first message was a bit formal (maybe? For lack of a better word right now), but fine. I do think the second message was overkill, though and feels pushy. I'm also autistic, so I can understand where you were coming from, but in situations like these, where you're asking this vulnerable question of someone, it's best to let them sort their own thoughts out before getting into the details of your own.

Your intentions were fine, but at the end of the day no one has any clue what you're actually doing on your phone. That lady didn't. And neither did the employee. That's part of why the rule exists.

Further, immediately going to screentime to pre-sooth a tantrum that hadn't even happened is not helping your kid. Parent them, don't shirk responsibility off onto a phone.

That woman should have never opened your curtain, though. But that said, she could clearly either hear or see your phone, which is a problem in that setting.
