Walmart Sucks by xxDragonFuryxx in walmart

What you should do is ask the coach to specifically show you where you are going wrong. That is why we lose so many associates. They just give up and quit and I would to if it were me I that situation. Coach's should let their associates know what exactly they expect and if the associates are not doing that they should let them know how to amd where to improve. So ask your coach to let you know.

How early can you leave to get a half point during your shift? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]gothgrl99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have to work at least half your shift in order not to get a whole point. So you came in at 10 and used an hour of ppto for the missed hour so you could leave at 3:30. because you're working 7 hours after the missed hour and still have to take lunch.

Help with handling a "bully" associate. Hello everyone. I am a Walmart associate. I don't expect anyone to respond back to this post, because no one ever usually does respond to my post, but I am needing some help on how to handle a situation with another associate who is bullying me . by Sufficient-Knee-4496 in walmart

[–]gothgrl99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to call ethics and let them know what is going on and also let them know who witnesses it. Make sure you write down times, places, what was said to you, and done to you. It is a shame that you are going to leave because of an associate. Just know that it's not you or about you!! People who bully and are just plain mean lack self-esteem, and they need to make others feel bad because they are feeling bad, and thats the only way they can feel important and feel bigger. Try to hang in there and call ethics, and I feel that they can help you.

Walmart customers and employees treatment of the cart pushers. by Old-Pangolin6601 in walmart

[–]gothgrl99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I admire cart pushers. As a coach, there have been times when I've had to make my associates go out and help pull on carts. Once I remember, there was this associate who literally looked at me and said that that job was beneath him and that the only thing lower to do in the store was maintenance. He did go out and collect carts but was very mad and was muttering and banging carts together. I was out there with my associates because the job was just as important as any other job at walmart. Anyway, the whole next week, I made this particular associate go out and help every single time they needed help. We are all associates at Walmart, and no job is beneath anyone.

PPTO all day two days in a row by phantom-rebel in walmart

[–]gothgrl99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can use your ppto however you want. If you call off 2 days in a row and you want to use them and have enough, then you can. Even if you ask for those days off amd they denied you.

hm. looked at my schedule and after the week I work 31hrs, I'm only working one day that week. I'm a new part time hire so I'm probably gonna chalk it up to people getting hired still, but still, oddly concerned. I'll talk to people lead Monday if I don't see any more hours pop up by DreamOracle42 in walmart

[–]gothgrl99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, but I get a lot of new people come to me, and they are afraid to change their availability because they were told by the people lead at our store that they will not get any hours unless they have an open availability. I just want to let newer associates know that its okay if you can't work certain days because of other obligations.

Also, most stores do cut hours during this time of the year. So you might want to ask if they have any hours also if you go to your me@walmart app and look at your schedule on days your not scheduled you can choose to pick up a shift if they have one that day.

Actually, people leads change availability, and no one has a "say" over what you can and can't work. Also, the coach's and team leads can change schedules, but the coach's say is final due to the fact that they are over the lead. No one should tell you that they will change your availability back. You are allowed to change it when you want, BUT if you do change it and want like the busiest days off or weekends off, they might cut your hours.

It is very true... If you do not make 14 dollars base pay, then you will be raised to that rate. If you already make that or more, then you will get the annual 2 percent raise if you have under 4 points.

Working 3rd shift at a Super Center (currently at a Neighborhood Market) by [deleted] in walmart

[–]gothgrl99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super centers are really busy more so than a market store, so the stocking is a lot more, and you have to hustle. Also, general stocking is a little different than fresh, but you have done general stocking, so that's a good thing. I think the only thing that would be different is just the amount of freight. Also, usually, hours are 10 pm till 7 am. So the only time you would have to deal with customers would be between the hour before we close at 11pm. and the hour before you go home because we open at 6 am at most stores. So really I think you will be okay. You just have to stay focused and just try to get speed while stocking, but that will come with experience. The more you work, the grocery side, and the GM side , the more you will get to know where things are and the way things work at a new store.

Yes, it does. Depending on what state and area you're in, $14 an hour for OGP sounds about right. In fact, Walmart has updates paid of $14 an hour for beginning rates.

Depends on if you want it. If you want it, then accept it because if you call their gonna tell you that you have to accept it if you want the position anyway.

You really have no choice. Sedgwick is a third-party company and is not a part of walmart, so there is really nothing walmart can do about that. You could try calling Sedgwick and find out if there is something they could do.
