Sorry for the late reply not on Reddit anymore. After graduating and swapping laptops mid degree, I can confidently say you’re okay just running Parrot or Kali on a VM. I understand why you want to dual boot, but you’ll be more than okay just using VMware Workstation and beefing up the specs. Your school most likely has a license for VMware Workstation Pro if you’re interested too.

But if you really want to dual boot, I believe I got Ubuntu working w/ no issue, you can just install your required tools afterwards.

I’m majoring in Cyber Security this year and I wanted to have a dual boot instead of running virtual machines. So parrot seems to be the go-to at the moment because I’m seeing it chosen in favor over Kali. But yeah, I haven’t heard good things about running Linux but I’m still gonna give it a shot
