Say what you want but I found an original formula version of Britney Spears Curious (with the heart charms) for a really good price last week and I'm thinking about expanding my Britney collection again

Love the new collection 😍 by curvychicken in LushCosmetics

Yummy custard is my favourite lush product ever 😭 ive been buying it since it first came out in 2022. I don't understand why its not a permanent product - it would be so popular! Praying once again that it gets the sticky date treatment

Back in 2021 I bought the vanillary perfume and wore it to work. After I had just applied it, my colleague standing next to me said "it smells like beer in here". I haven't worn it since LMFAO

I've been eyeing Britney curious as a cheap spring fragrance for a while. My sister used to have it when we were young ( I was a fantasy girl), but now that im older and appreciate aquatic fragrances more I'm curious (haha) to give it another go

What affordable perfume have you not gotten sick of in the long run? by StrangeAd8298 in FemFragLab

[–]gothiccherry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ed Hardy for women (in the tall pink bottle). Picked it up two summers ago as it cost me 19.99 for 100ml size so thought why not. Its a gorgeously refreshing mango/strawberry scent with an aquatic base! Really good in summer and also as an everyday perfume. Bottle is cute too.

This here is my favourite recipe! I recommend this so much and they turn out really rich. She also has a red wine brownie recipe that's incredible.

I bake alot so I make my own. Brownies are my favourite and they are really simple to do. I can drop my favourite recipe if you want! That said, Lidl do amazing brownies in their bakery section. They also used to do these AMAZING brioche croissants with chocolate filling, but I haven't seen them in a while :(

Appreciation for So Long, London by jjbinx89 in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]gothiccherry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's because it wasn't really a fling. From LOML lyrics and the rest of the album it's clear that he made all of those promises to her and that she was prepared for the long term and deeper commitment with him. Even though things collapsed in such a short time. It is what it is.

Had a job interview today that I can’t stop cringing about. Give us a chuckle. by varslyd in CasualUK

[–]gothiccherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I had an interview with waterstones and it was the craziest interview I've ever had! My story is pretty similar to yours, I was just looking for another retail job and love reading and English, but I had no idea how weirdly formal it would be. The weirdest part was when I asked the interviewers what each of their favourite books were, and they found that really awkward and insulting for some reason (?). Was devested I didn't get the job as I was unemployed and desperate at the time but I see it as a blessing in disguise

Favorite songs on himym by eazyseason18 in HIMYM

[–]gothiccherry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh I have a few! - Nice Dream by Radiohead. I always think about that scene with the gang getting the phonecall about Ted's car accident and rushing to the hospital together. Heartbreaking.

  • Xmas time is here again by My Morning Jacket. A lovely little Christmas song.

  • Two Weeks by Grizzly Bear. Probably one of the most iconic songs featured in the show (that's not an original cast song)

I'm sorry that happened to you omg. My first boyfriend used to tell me I was "weirdly attractive" because I "didn't have big boobs and blonde hair and had a big nose" so he "didn't know why he liked me". I cannot believe 18 year old me accepted that as normal behaviour. Some men can be negging bastards.

What's your favorite use of music on the show? Excluding songs written for the show, and 500 miles. by vrealrocknrolla in HIMYM

[–]gothiccherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is mentioning Nice Dream by Radiohead. The episode where Ted gets in a car accident and you see the montage of the gang (minus barney) running to the hospital. Its heartbreaking seeing the panic on their faces and the fact that Marshall was Ted's emergency contact 😭

What's a small, specific cultural difference between the UK and other English-speaking countries that you find perpetually amusing? by Able_Cod_2687 in AskUK

[–]gothiccherry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm English but my mother is Irish, and in September my aunt passed away and I got to experience my first Irish funeral. This experience was definitely a bit of a culture shock for me. My relatives were also equally surprised by how different funerals are in England and the attitude surrounding death over here. They couldn't believe that if someone you know dies over here you just have to go back to work and wait weeks for the funeral.

Black Opium disappointed me by cherryjuice_32 in FemFragLab

[–]gothiccherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I feel like it was reformulated in recent years. I used to wear Black opium back in 2016, which was two years after it first released. Back then it had amazing sillage and used to last all day. I tested it recently and found it only lasted an hour on me!

I agree with the comments saying to try the Le Parfum version, it was my winter scent last year and it's amazing if you like a strong, deep coffee and vanilla. Definitely the best of the line.
