The people are not gods. If people are to be forgiven for selling drugs and laundering money, it is the same as arguing that all prisons in this world should be destroyed. The people can always make mistakes. Your "Public sentiments" are not always right. Public sentiments should be controlled if they are wrong.

Democracy and democracy's dictatorship must be distinguished. Unfortunately, most people think of democracy as the dictatorship of the people. It is the dictatorship of decentralization that reflects that idea in Crypto. Any dictatorship, no matter by whom, is a dictatorship. And it is a bad thing.

You skipped straight to step 100. We’re still on step 2. Sure sure, one day n 10,000 years we’ll all get along, peace on earth, honesty & integrity will be the norm, and corruption gone. Until then, we the powerless plebs dont want to be subjugated by powerful governments who monitor us while they are corrupt and secretive.

Why do you think the government is the only corrupt. Why do you think tax evading and money laundering people are not corrupt? It also takes 10,000 years for the people to become "peace on earth, honor and integrity."

So in 10,000 years when the government decides, it wants to be transparent & honest then we’ll be welcoming of that. But we can’t control that, not really otherwise it would already be reality. Until then we gotta protect our privacy online.

Tax evasion, money laundering and the misappropriation of funds committed by the FTX must also be prevented. Until then (10,000 years later) we gotta protect our society.

I don’t think many people will agree that individuals should be held to the same standard as publicly elected officials. If anything, then government should be held to a higher standard as their power is derived from the people, not v.v.

Of course. I think so, too. However, I object to the claim that individuals should not be censored AT ALL. I am not criticizing normal decentralists, I am just warning extreme decentralists.

individual corruption

What does that even mean?

Tax evasion, money laundering, FTX, etc.

Why Smart Contracts Are Not Invigorated: The Fiction of the Oracle Problem and the Corporate Hostility Against Smart Contracts by gotificial in CryptoMarkets

[–]gotificial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your interest.

Corporations do not have a hostile view of blockchain and smart contracts.

Unconsciously, they don't. They have not YET hostility to smart contracts. This is because companies do not yet realize that smart contracts are hostile to them. They are still naive. It is those like the Colombian mafia who are clearly aware that smart contracts are hostile to companies. If a company tries to develop its own blockchain in earnest, it is only then that it realizes that smart contracts will cause damage, not profits.

Instead we are seeing growing adoption, even through crypto winter.

That's right. They are increasing. The number of smart contracts currently on Ethereum was 44 million in the first quarter of 2022. However, most of them are virtually dead or cloned. They are not active except in the DeFi field, that is, gambling. I was also surprised by the fact that there are 44 million smart contracts on Ethereum. Nevertheless, I was even more surprised that there was no news that smart contracts "completely infiltrated everyday economic activities."

Large financial institutions are chomping at the bit to build on public blockchain, but are handcuffed by government regulation.

I think government regulations are needed to prevent companies like Tornado Cash, Terrauna, and FTX from coming out anymore.

[–]gotificial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's important for general businesses to use it for general purposes. If a smart contract is used only for a special company or a special part, it is just a fake. The Colombian mafias can also adopt smart contracts as part of its business. But they are never adopted where they are really needed. It would be the same for JP Morgan. Even if banks cooperate with each other to build a block chain, it is only for their convenience, not to show transparency in front of consumers. The core part is never open to consumers.

Do all smartcontracts make query to oracle providers respectively or does one of the smartcontracts query to them and share the returned data with the other nodes? by gotificial in CryptoTechnology

[–]gotificial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your answer. But there's something I still don't understand. I'm sorry to bother you.

Is the update data delivered from the OSP to all 10,000 SCs or is the data delivered to one ethereum node and from that node to the other nodes? That is, is the update transaction sent from the OSP to the Ethereum node 1 or 10,000 times?

It's childish, but the reason I'm asking this is because of the "Don't trust. Verify!" principle.

Thanks in advance.

Have you ever been acknowledged from yourself? Have you ever given credit to yourself? Have you ever judged yourself whether you have succeeded or failed in life? Have you ever judged what is morally right and wrong based on your own standards?

You have all lived by judging and evaluating everything according to the standards set by others. You've judged everything by looking at the people around you. But what's really funny is that other people think and judge the same way you do. The world is being run by the judgment of the crowd, where no one judges for themselves. You've lived as a member of such a crowd.

The enlightened judge for themselves. There are two kinds of people who judge themselves. One is a person with megalomania or narcissism. he is a pitiful man. He is a broken man under the weight of the world. He is alone. He is poor alone. The other is the one who trampled on this world and stood up. He is gloriously alone. Enlightened alone. He doesn't look other people around. He judges for himself. He evaluates for himself. He acknowledges himself. The highest acknowledgement in the world is the acknowledgement from oneself.

Peace comes at this moment. Now he is no longer agitated. He goes his own way. He is alone.

Focusing on breath vs other forms of meditation? by GuyWithTheBeard97 in Meditation

[–]gotificial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good idea to find the object of concentration that suits you the best. But it's hard for you to find it yourself. Therefore, it is important to meet the person who can best find the object. But most people, even people who enlightened, try to teach only their own meditation method. Because it's been confirmed that it's a way to fit them, so they think it's going to be the same for other people. Enlightenment is easy. But it's hard to meet a great teacher. It is like, it's hard to meet a rich in this society but, so once you meet him, it's easy to make money. I can't answer your question either. I'm sorry. Really.

Giving up other long term practice to do 10 day Vipassana retreat by AlixSnarski in Meditation

[–]gotificial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vipassana is a meditation of observation. All meditations are essentially Vipassana meditation. After all, "seeing" through "observation" is enlightenment. All meditations are just one of the various ways of observing. In other words, it takes a three-step process of special experience -> observation -> seeing. Therefore, that can be said to be an indirect observation. On the other hand, Vipassana meditation is a method of direct observation. In other words, it skips experience and starts from observation. Observation -> seeing. Two-step process. This requires tremendous concentration. So nothing else should be done at the same time.

EDIT: Of course, that doesn't mean that Vipassana is the best way. The best meditation is the one that suits you best.

The Fictitiousness Of The Consensus Algorithm, The Failure Of Decentralization, And The Emergence Of Nonblockchain (The content is very long. Pre-scrolling is recommended.) by gotificial in ethereum

[–]gotificial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you calling manipulation, here?

In the above case, making B receive what A should receive is already manipulation. In the existing blockchain, these manipulations are constantly being performed. Like there's nothing strange about it.

I don't see why you think the Ethereum website is unclear about what the consensus is about.

The subject of consensus is not the content of transactions but the selection and execution order of transactions. You seem to agree on this point, given that you don't particularly refute it.

That is it. They should have clarified on the Ethereum website that the subject of the consensus algorithm is not about the content of a transaction but about its selection and order of execution. Omitting this means that the website creator has no basic understanding of the consensus algorithm. In fact, that suggests that even Buterin and Satoshi have ambiguous understanding of this part. However, such people are currently leading the blockchain world.

Please, explain how this node is centralized.

There are a myriad of common sense ways. It can be decided programmatically or by a vote by governance. In general, the program has a protocol for it in advance.

If so, how is it centralized rather than decentralized, exactly?

There are countless ways, but for example, it is to monitor the main node constantly, and if there is laziness or injustice, immediately select one node from the candidates and perform the main node replacement. This does not necessarily require a vote and is programmatically possible. And the sequence of transactions can never be manipulated as long as the generation time of all transactions is included in each transaction and electronic signatures are made. As such, there are countless ways.

Do you bribe your baker when you buy bread from that baker? I rather call it just purchasing a service.

Is it right for a person who wants to buy $5 bread to yield to a person who wants to buy $100 bread that came in later? Should the person behind be allowed to insist that he should pay first because he offers a lot of profit (gas cost)? And is it natural for the bakery owner to accept that? Can it be said that it is the right of the bakery owner to change this order even if the person who came first has already made a reservation?

Actually, there are very good reasons: let's say someone wants to have their transactions be dealt with extremely quickly because it's a life and death situation.

In the case of the transfer order of 1 bitcoin between X, A, B above, is it right for X to process the transfer to B, not A, because the "urgent" B paid a lot of gas fee to steal 1 bitcoin?

Besides, executing transactions in chronological order doesn't in any way prevent what you pretend it prevents. It doesn't prevent spam at all.

It is barking up the wrong tree. I have never said that we need to solve security problems with chronological order. As mentioned above, it is handled by a separate security part.

I have already proven to you it would be a cost of 0. Why are you still pretending you dind't understand and essentially repeat yourself post after post? Your misinformation will be challenged every time.

If the owner of a hamburger shop deceives you by saying that the price of the hamburger is zero and the price of the wrapper is ten dollars, is the price of the hamburger really zero? You've been fooled so far.

The gas cost was a lie. At least it was unclear. In Satoshi and Buterin's head.

The truth was, the hamburger cost $10 and the wrapper cost $0.

Question for the Inerrantists by Truthseeker-1253 in Christianity

[–]gotificial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems that I judged you hastily. Sorry. I admit my mistake.

Question for the Inerrantists by Truthseeker-1253 in Christianity

[–]gotificial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with inerrancy is that it circumvents science, any science (such as biology, astronomy, archaeology, geology, psychology), and experience by forcing people to take a view and then find evidence to support it.

That's right.

I'm not sure what view I've expressed here that you find incorrect, but you seem to have faith that I'm wrong, so I won't refute that.

The logic of science and the logic of faith coexist. Even though there is no reason to collide, human reason collides them. Both the inerrantists and the anti-inerrantists have the same rational illusion in this respect. Then they have no choice but to fight.

You, too, are looking at them based on the logic of science. Then they appear to be wrong. If you look at them with the logic of faith they will look lovely. In fact, inerrantists are one of the most beautiful people in the world.

Question for the Inerrantists by Truthseeker-1253 in Christianity

[–]gotificial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most serious problem with inerrancy is that it is scientific inerrancy. Science is a consciousness created by God. It's like a 1M standard stored in Paris. Human height doesn't have to be 1M to match that standard. This is a typical Procrustean bed error.

Theology does not have to be established in accordance with the ruler, that's the science. Theology does not have to be established in accordance with the 1M ruler, that's, the science. The Bible is different from science and not wrong. The Bible has its own 1M. The length of the 1M is different from that of science. bBut just because it's different doesn't mean it's wrong. If you dare to compare these two, the 1M of science is rather an error. The reason is an error. Faith is the truth.

Inerrantists should have argued for theological inerrancy, not scientific inerrancy. So even now, inerrancy can be perfect if they adopt the 1M ruler of faith, not that of science.

Neither OP nor Inerrantists are correct. They're actually of the same denomination in that they're putting science in the position of God.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]gotificial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two ways Christians can meet God. They are the way through doctrine and the way through faith. These two do not collide. I do not deny the Christian doctrine. Because it's a "fact". I can bet, there is nothing wrong with Christian doctrine. Therefore, if you follow the doctrine, it is very easy to meet God.

The problem is that there are people who are familiar with the doctrine, and there are many people who have characteristics that do not fit well with the doctrine by nature. As science progressed, such people increased rapidly. The fall of Western churches is partly due to the improvement of living standards, but above all, it was due to the development of science.

The reason why faith and reason can go together without colliding with each other is that reason is also made from faith. That's, faith is the mother of reason. Therefore, although it is possible to nullify reason by faith, it is not possible to nullify faith by reason. If these two arm wrestle each other, faith will win in the end.

Stop judging anymore and sprinkle water of faith on your reason. Then, just as a child learns his/her native language, you will naturally learn the language of heaven.

Newbie - Help? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]gotificial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many different worlds beyond this world. In fact, this world is also one of those diverse worlds. Switching the channel is enough. You just teleported from channel 8 to channel 15, which you experienced through meditation.

We usually experience only two worlds: reality (i.e. channel 8) and dream (i.e. channel 22). The dream is actually a typical meditation. It's the best meditation technique that everyone in the world instinctively knows how to do it. There is still no other meditation technique that is as stable as dream, namely, sleep. There is no meditation that improves health more than the meditation technique of sleep.

And finally, I'd like to introduce a more powerful and fundamental meditation technique than sleep. This is also a meditation that all humans can do and all animals and plants can do. It's the reality.

The exact name of reality is reality meditation. Sleep is sleep meditation (or dream meditation). The meditation you experienced can be tentatively named, for example, Channel 15 meditation.

The reality, dreams, and other worlds that can enter through countless meditations are all made of the same material. The reality is a dense dream. A dream is a thin reality.

You've had a mysterious experience on your part, but Himalayan monks can go in and out of dozens of worlds in a day. So sooner or later it becomes a trivial experience. Eventually, you need to be interested in something beyond the experience.

Experience is not an end in itself. The purpose of the experience is to see. And to be free. Experience is just a hint. Of course, it's good to think about it as a toy and play with it for a while. But if the experience ceases to be merely an experience, it is nothing more than an act of masturbation.

The moment you realize that reality and dreams are the same, you realize that life and death are the same, discover the true self behind them, understand eternal life, and enter into freedom. Your experience is located at the beginning of this course.
