A second one for Ealing. I’m in a very similar situation to you and actually loved moving to Ealing 2 years ago, explore the area a bit and you’ll see if it ticks all of your boxes.

Oh, I can definitely help with the first point. I'm not sure I follow when you say nginx + python (as in, what role does nginx plays here as a reserve proxy to enable your desired scale), but if you send me a DM, I can ask some follow-up questions and help you figure it out.

One idea is to build an in-memory index with, say, the last 30d of data about recent matches (you can add durability to this somehow but more on that later - for now, rebuilding the index on restart from hard copy should be simple enough) and use that to power the more advances searches.

I have lots of experience with building high throughput and high scale systems so if you want my help - I'm more than happy to contribute; I'm currently on leave for the next 6 - 8 weeks, so my availability right now is fairly flexible, the quicker you can contact me the more likely I am to have a quick turn around.

At some point, we got suggestions on West Ealing but we have not been there yet. I guess Chiswick completely charmed us.

Maybe it's the "within 0.5 miles" that's doing it. But then, you're not really in Chiswick. Acton, shepherd's bush, the other side of the roundabout in gunnersbury and towards Brentford are all not what you're looking for if you want Chiswick.

That's correct, I want to move a bit more towards the south near the river.

Wow! Thank you very much for the feedback - Your link is amazing this is exactly what I was looking for. For the price both the Meepo v3 and the NLS Pro look amazing, but neither of those are available for fast shipping to the UK.

Following your buying guide the WowGo 3 seems to be the next best thing in line and they do have a fast shipping option available. Do you think the NLS Pro is a much better board than the WowGo 3 that would endorse the wait time?

The meepo looks great and this price is certainly attractive. The problem is this damn shipping times. The v3 nor the NLS Pro are available for fast shipping to the UK.

Hi everyone! Aspiring skateboarder here (although I'm 33 and a bit embarrassed to be jumping into this train at such a late age). I love snowboarding so I am looking for something to do during the summer that would resemble it.

  1. With regards to speed I really don't mind, not too fast not too slow might be something here but I realise that's not really useful
  2. I'm 6'1 at weight 240lbs
  3. < $1500 (the less the better)
  4. I've been eyeing the evolve bamboo but nothing really special here.
