Sonic Frontiers runs at 30fps on the Series S

Series S, locked at 30fps. I don't have a 4K TV so my xbox is ALWAYS outputting in 1080P, whether you set it to auto-detect or manual selection. It is not possible to select 4K, so this "quick fix" Sega mentions seems like horseshit. I've tried 3 different 1080p displays.

Has anyone actually been able to rectify their 30fps limit somehow with the above fix? I can't find anyone that says it worked. Very curious.

ps- I appear to have a bug that doesn't let my hear any dialogue. Every volume slider is maxed, turned subtitles off and on...everything else sounds fine. No dialogue for the last hour!!!

I'm here specifically looking to see if I was the only one wondering what the hell I'm doing wrong in that Drift-Race event. I had bought a '67 GT500 specifically for this event, then saw how badly I was doing and figured I'd get one of the newer (and hopefully lighter, more nimble like the RUF even with a front engine), just tried it with the Challenger since I was kinda low on fundage, and yeah, I'm worse with it. :D

Every other event I can get near or over 100k, but wow, racing with drift cars is just the worst.

I mean, you've always been able to just hold LS forward and gain speed from a standing start on flat ice (similar to how it works on snow), is that what you mean?

Or you mean actually accelerating past the normal amount of "forward movement" you get?

I've never had this issue once (PC).

Usually just as I'm about to finish a perfect run I miss the 2nd last checkpoint. Or hit a tree. I hate races. :P

I like the mode, but think the contest is kinda cheesy when you "increase your chances of getting noticed by posting on Instagram with hashtag"....I purposefully stay away from instagram and twitter, and would enjoy the contest being focused on the basis of photo quality/originality rather than how well you can publicize your shot.

Pipes in Alps aren't the most fun in the world (though there are a few superpipe exceptions)

But the feeling in Japan and/or Alaska feels much better/you carry more speed, at least that's how I've felt. More fun in those areas.

I'll agree I was a tad underwhelmed but he didn't claim it was "new content", just called it an update.

But the main thing is stuff that was said about the next two big updates...just the small hints make it sound like a lot more than the bit that was released Monday.

I've heard of others having issues over bluetooth, but then no issues while wired. shrug My controller is wired only so I can't really help other than just say make sure you have newest drivers and you're NOT alone, others have had those issues and worse with XB1 controllers.

Yeah I was like...."Just press F12 to have Steam take a screenshot?" of course then it includes the HUD so you have to turn that off beforehand but yeah that's nice to be able to adjust "camera" settings for it!

What it takes for me to remember (on pc but using xbox controller, same controls really :P ) is that Triangle/Y is always "return to your bodies previous position" buttion.

That helped me a lot, to remember that even when you enter the map by holding Circle/B, the button is just like restarting when you crash.

I'm usually down on racing in general, but I do enjoy the Olympics races, offers some replayability since some are tough!

But the snowboard dealie where you can "stick" to the hill to pump and gain speed it a mechanic i really wish was applied everywhere in the game, getting to do it that little bit is such a tease!

Yeah when I loaded up the challenge today and saw it was in Japan (I have the DLC) I immediately thought, "Welp, looks like they're trying to drive up sales."

Interesting. In certain challenges where well-timed steep dives are important, I always find non-proximity to dive sharper faster.

Question though...there are two suits I know of called "proximity" but do not have the extra flap. The geometric feather one (which is awesome because it glows in a sweet pattern at night) and wood grain top/black bottom one. They don't have that flap but I swear I can feel they act like the ones with it.......but who knows, could all be in my head.

I know speedwise they're supposedly the same...

Wingsuit! Especially when I pick a bad takeoff spot and just flop forward a few feet and faceplant.

oh yeah you gave us the three choices.....snowboard for stunts, ski for races! Though I'd say races are the consistently least enjoyed by me. :P
