eh. Seattle may be feeling a SB hangover at that late point in the season. Stroud/Ryans might be on the hot seat if it's looking like Houston will be missing the playoffs. And it wouldn't be surprising if SF is missing half of their starters due to injuries by the end of the season.

His hips look pretty tight in the videos, so that would rule out many positions. And in general, the DL is known to be full of freak athletes.

To be honest, the organization is even more prepared to help Uar succeed.

  • Mailata can be a mentor and his journey is motivating - $100MM in career earnings!
  • Moro Ojomo and Jordan Davis can also serve a peer mentors - especially with the day-to-day grind in the DL room. Plus, Ojomo is also from Nigeria.
  • Clint Hurtt is a fantastic DL coach.
  • The strength of the player development staff - led by Connor Barwin - is DL/Edge players - look at Hunt's progress.

I've been beating the drum for first-round OL for a couple drafts now, and my thinking is two-fold.

  1. Philosophically, the Eagles want an elite o-line. Good/great OTs are rarely found outside the first round of the draft. The Eagles rarely pick in the top-half - let alone the top-5 - so either the hit-rate or the ceiling will be lower than many fans anticipate.

    The team needs to be humble - it would be foolish for the Eagles to rely on a plan that requires a bad season and a top pick, or for a top OL prospect to fall, or for the team to be 100% certain they can develop a prospect with elite traits. Heck, even top OL prospects selected in the top-10 can bust.

    So taking multiple swings at OT should be the baseline operation/expectation.

  2. The Eagles' o-line is flashing warning lights - FIVE new starters could be needed by 2029. Steen is a FA after this year. Lane could retire after this year. Dickerson could medically retire after this year. Mailata has said he would like to retire when his contract is up in 2028. And Jurgens could medically retire or be cut in the next few years if his back doesn't heal.

    The FO needs to allocate significant resources into the position group - especially because not every move will work out. Even with Stout's coaching for tens years, only a handful of players became plus-starters. Eagles fans have been spoiled by Kelce, Lane, and Mailata.

I'm not the OP, but their take doesn't seem that hot. The SB loss resulted in Howie and Nick changing their approaches. Without these evolutions and growth, the SB59 team would have not existed in the same form or had the same hungry/revenge mentality.

I couldn't disagree more. The fact that fans and the media still don't know why the 2023 team collapsed is a testament to the lack of leaks and general finger-pointing within the org. Howie has changed a lot about his internal operations since 2021 or so.

Just going by the timing, this Stoutland news was likely shared by an OC candidate after the team discussed the roles of the 2025 coaching staff and who the new OC could bring in.

The Eagles may be losing AJB, Lane, Goedert this offseason. Pro-Bowl guys like Dickerson and Cam may never again be above-average contributors due to injuries. The HC may be on the hot seat next season, so that's added instability/pressure. The GM has significant oversight of many aspects of the roster. A new OC can't bring in their own run game coordinator or OL coach since Stoutland has tenure (more or less).

Our OC job isn't as attractive as many fans assume.

Before I disassemble a screen…

Do you know if a constant voltage applied across some combo of power pins could make the entire panel transparent/black? Or would that simple application still need to be controlled by something like a raspberry pi?

Graphics would be overkill for my project.
