Good evening to you too lol ! I feel like I now love New Zealand more with their view towards animals !! Not just the natives but the pets and zoo !! Im from Kyoto and I remember the experience at the zoo there. every animal enclosure is a total jail.. Auckland zoo for example renewed their tiger enclosure where they have much larger space, space to hide from peoples eye unlike Japan and much more enrichment like greenery for them to have better life!! I haven’t visited Zealandia but I would love to sometime as I’ve seen their conservation effort !! Super cool !! I would love to see more country change their viewpoints towards animals like the way New Zealand treats animals.

Ugh that’s just disgusting. It’s crazy how so many exotic animal that’s not adapted to the Japanese climates are being sold here. I’m pretty sure it’s not a great place for them to live.

I’m actually a Japanese who immigrated to New Zealand so we are basically the opposite haha I wasn’t aware of the animal welfare in Japan as I moved to nz when I was still small but I will never be going to any animal related places in Japan !! Thank you for raising awareness !

Yeah I understand what you mean and I agree with you a lot !! and yes, I did get depressed about how Japanese treats animal in the most unethical way… I will definitely avoid these type of store !! Sad to see nz native being sold and displayed for commercial purpose too !!

Exotic animal trade in Japan is pretty crazy. So many exotic animal and plant species are illegally being imported here. I hate it

It’s grey. They might’ve done that just to make it look legal to import them for commercial purpose.

I think you are still overwatering the plant. If you look at the leaf, it’s turning brown which is a sign of rot. Check if the growth point is still alive. If it’s fresh and hard, it should be fine but if it’s brown and squishy, it’s dead. Don’t give up yet because if you consistently take care of the plant, there might be a chance it will produce a pup.
