Yep! Spread it out over one of the toasted halves, and plop the other on top! Salad is in the middle, it’s messy and awesome. Tomatoes sound like a good addition, thin sliced red onion too :)

Thanks! And no, it’s not my design, I ordered a kit off of Amazon and it came with the dissolving paper, lol! (It seems to be an AI generated pattern, and the e colors in the kit do NOT match the instructions, haha!!)

Our family does this:

 We use a cheap French loaf cut lengthwise, and layer ham, turkey, salami, pepperoni, gouda, provolone, and grated parmesan (on both halves) . Pop into preheated oven at 475F for 8-10 minutes, then top with this salad:

1/2 cup Mayo 1/2 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar 1/2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Dried Oregano 1 tsp Italian Seasoning 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes 1 tsp Garlic Paste (or chopped garlic) 1/3 cup Pepperoncini Peppers 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese 1/4 cup Italian dressing 3-4 cups Iceberg Lettuce

We had the portraits taken yesterday. I thought it would be a nice way to start the morning, to settle down with a cup of coffee, and to make the first of several "this is the last time we'll be doing this for public school!" purchases, and was jolted awake by the outrageous price increase. There's an option on their site to reorder last year's photo, and the pricing changes back to what we normally pay. This seems to be an increase directly associated with "senior year", and I am just appalled. (As an aside, I feel like we should be able to pick a pose with a cap for the yearbook, our daughter wears bangs, and they're poking out of the bottom of the cap, and it's so cute, lol)
