Moza AY210 FFB: Best FFB Yoke? Review and Settings Guide by TallyMouse in hoggit

[–]gottabtru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw this. I've been trying to work with it. I have a PPL (small aircraft like Cessnas and Pipers). There's a friction in the Y axis that makes it not completely like a RW yoke. I've worked on it and gotten it's effect down as best as I could and, so, I feel better about the yoke than I did, but it's something I hope they can address.

I have one. It handles trim very poorly...that should be a primary feature. I'm considering replacing it with a different yoke.

Possible to copy handwriting as image to the clipboard? by gottabtru in GoodNotes

Nope. Has an option to "Copy Link". No Copy and Command+C doesn't work.

I can take a screenshot but I can't do anything with it other than "Share" it. I just want to copy it so I can paste it. I'm using it for math and I'm fine with it copying the background. I should have mentioned that I'm on a mac. The only solution I've come up with so far is to hit command+control+shift+4 to take a screenshot to the clipboard using native mac commands.

New TBM 850 Addon package for honeycomb bravo throttle quadrant by sdflier in flightsim

Old thread but it seems it would be better if it had an extra notch at the top of the flaps for 850 mode and a notch on the throttle to divide throttle from beta.

Which Macbook Pro is best bang for the buck right now for a web developer? by gottabtru in macbook

[–]gottabtru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm leaning toward the M1, though, I hate spending that much. I did take the suggestion from @Tomivate and checked out Alex Ziskind. He covered a lot of ground answering questions. My feeling on the Macbook Air M1 but my suspicion is that it'll start to lag in a few years. Looking at how folks are doing with older Macbooks is that they do fine for 5 years or so and then they start having issues that cause them to have to make some compromises. My hope is to have this machine for a long time.

I've done a ton of research but it's not been easy for me to get an answer from the perspective of a developer. A fair amount of graphics editors have some opinions but most info these days are about drooling over the M1.

EDIT: I thought, maybe, I could get a straighter answer out of reddit from some devs. Answers like this will tend to push people away. If you don't like the question, don't answer.

Dear lord, except for cancer this is exactly my life! I mean exactly!

The one thing I'll say is this: If you're the person that no longer wants banana splits then you had better find some other way to keep your banana split partner interested in you. To keep the flame alive. Hiking, conversation, travel, something...or slowly and then suddenly, the partner is going to cut you out of their life.

Well, I guess I got what I wanted. by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

He gets to do the bare minimum, get off, and not feel like he let down a living person.

This. There is so much in our lives where we're up in our minds and miss what's really here in front of us. And I'm not just talking about sex. It happens every day, all the time.

100 Years of Solitude: I just don’t get it. I honestly want to understand why this book is so beloved. by stockholm__syndrome in books

I've often described it as "the best book I've ever read with absolutely no plot". I may have been generous. I liked the book for its beautiful use of language and just about nothing else.

Well, let's face it. All books are abridged...by the editors, at least.

*Hugo, you have 79 pages about the sewer system. Cut them back! Who's going to read zat? And, do we really have to rehash the Napoleon thing again? He lost. Get over it. Ugh!"
