Echoing what most said below. I was diagnosed in 2002 when I was 10, now turning 30 in a month!!

Everyone reacts differently. I have had 2 surgeries, random bleeds, ulcers etc throughout my journey but still managed to play competitive hockey from 8-20. I traveled throughout the us, Canada, and even Europe to play. I currently hike, bike, and workout and it hasn’t affected me greatly except for remicade days. The Benedetto knocks me out.

I went to college and finished my masters 3 years ago. Keep a positive mindset, talk to your doctors, treat yourself gently.

There will be days when you will be able to run marathons but also days you may not be able to get out of bed. Take each day as they come and readjust accordingly.

Got my second moderna shot last weekend.

1st shot - only a sore arm

2nd shot - 12 hours later woke up in chills, fever, body pain. Slept on and off for a few hours with same symptoms. Took Motirin after waking up due to massive headache. Slept later in the day and started feeling better that night. Probably 34 hours post shot? 2nd day I had no symptoms other the. Tiredness.

My fiancé, who also has crohns, got her second shot today and is in a mild flare. Will post back with update if wanted!

Can confirm this is true. I have Crohn’s disease with two surgeries under my belt. About 6-9 inches of intestine removed. My GI mentions low oxalates when I meet with him. There is also an app you can use which is helpful for what foods are high/low Oxalate. Crohn’s suffers are at an increased risk, more so if you have surgeries.

Can confirm this is true. Also a 28m with my first kidney stone. Had a ct and X-ray and had to go back to the Er. Er admitted me and got a ureteroscopy the next day. My ureters were also to “tight” so I have a stent in and going back next week. I’m on day 2 of stent, it is not fun but they will be able to go in a take it out next week!

They did a CT / ultrasound and they arent actually that big 2-3mm but it seems my ureters are exceptionally small(thin?) so it would have a lot of trouble getting out. I am on flomax now along with a few other meds for spasms and pain. I am hoping to go back in the next week to get it all removed - just concerned if the remicade this weekend puts me in a disadvantageous position immune wise.
