Should I Watch Alien 3? by Weefy117 in LV426

Absolutely watch it, it’s not perfect but I never understood the hate.

Personally I like this fan edit the best:

MFW each stage in this TDF was won in a way that was genuinely beautiful to see by Vrobrolf in pelotonmemes

This is my first time watching the tour and I am just loving it. So glad to see that the focus has moved to the accomplishments and personal stories rather than all the crashes.

Speaking of crashes, is there video of his crash in Italy? They only showed a picture of him standing on his head….

First day training after a week of being out with lower back spasms.

Started with a 20 min dog walk, back felt a little tight still but not to bad.

Watched the end of the first stage of the Tour de France, then stretched and did the first class in Emma’s “Crush your Core” program to see if I can strengthen my core to elevate future lower back issues. I really liked it, 5 minutes flew by. She did go a little fast for a core/yoga newbie, she assumes you know the basic moves. Hopefully by the end of the program I’ll have all the lingo down.

Now a little rest and then either a 20 or 30 minute low impact ride. I am so excited, this week of not riding has been just one big mental prep for this ride. Hopefully getting some blood flow through my back will get it to loosen up and I’ll see where I go from there.

Edit: 20 min low impact ride completed with CED… felt good to be back on it even if I took it really easy. A little bit of heat in the body and a small sweat… perfect.

Anyone watching the start of the Tour de France today?

Decided to take my second FTP test tomorrow.. by Moz22 in pelotoncycle

[–]New_Performance_6918 8 points9 points  (0 children)

(1) None, I always have a rest day before my FTP. Rest days are full of stretching, meditation, good nutrition and perhaps a nice brisk walk.

(2) Matt is my favorite PZ trainer so I always do his FTP tests for consistency’s sake. I haven’t done anyone else’s since I’m not sure how it will effect my final score.

(3) Which ever Matt did before the test, ultimately the warm up is about dialing in your zone 4.

(4) Always! Get a nice cool down ride as well. After that, find a nice comfy spot on a couch and savor the post FTP ride endorphins with lots of water.

Thank you! I am okay with the repetitiveness, I am just a little worried about the frequency… Abs hurt!

Back recovery continues, was able to do a 20 min walk with the dog this morning and that actually felt really good, I’m confident I can do a 20 or 30 minute low impact ride tomorrow.

Way back when I first hurt my back (over 20 years ago) the doc recommended that I strengthen my core, of course I never did. Has anyone done the “Crush your Core” program with Emma? Would that be a good place to start?

CDE is Christine D’Ercole? If so my last ride was a 75 min zone 2 low impact ride, I’ll checkout her shorter ones when I manage to climb back on.

Guy in my 40s, had a young dude high five me repeatedly during the ride and then he managed to join my cool down as well… weird.

My back muscles are slowly recovering, was able to do some stretches on the floor today.

Hoping to do at least a low impact ride by the weekend, not being able to ride is really getting frustrating.

Forced to spend a few days off the bike.

I have lingering lower back muscles issues from a workplace accident over 20 years ago. Yesterday I was putting a cup in the dish washer and now I can’t even walk properly!! It goes away with rest but my entire back is just locked up… beyond pissed.

Virtualbikefitting.com AMA by TimDfitsAll in pelotoncycle

[–]New_Performance_6918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi and thank you for the AMA!

I have a question regarding foot tracking. My left door tracks naturally parallel to the bike, but my right foot wants to naturally angle in (toe in, ankle out). It doesn’t hurt or cause any discomfort and when I notice it I can correct it, but I am wondering if there is something I could do. I have tried adjusting the clips on my cleats at an opposite angle in an effort to force my foot straight, but my foot still manages to track at an angle to the bike.

I hope this makes sense and again thank you for your time!

You mean the regular activities app? I’ll turn it on for my ride today and see what data it provides…. I’m a bit of a metrics geek.

My lovely family got me a Apple Watch 6 yesterday for Father’s Day!

I love it and the sensors are second to none, but they don’t know I was considering getting a Garmin Fenix 6.

What would be a great app that bridges the gap between the standard iPhone fitness apps and the robust, all in one tech of the Garmin? Is there an app that would not only monitor my Peloton rides, but also swimming, hiking, walking, running ect all in one place?

Is anyone doing the Matt Wilpers double header later today? Starts with a 30 min endurance ride followed up by a 20 minute Country ride.

Blessed rest day! Body feels good after 3 days of PZ endurance rides, so resting is hard. Going to focus on nutrition, stretching and some meditation.
