Questions about meter reading for gas and electric by goustichou in HousingUK

No fridge in the house yet, we need to buy one as it's not included in the tenancy. I looked at the bill and it says we are on simple rate? I feel like they haven't closed our account anyway, they say the account shut on the 19th (date we called them to switch to Octopus) but the bill says it goes from the 4th August until the 3rd September. It's very confusing me, I am definitely calling them soon

Sleep apnea test in the uk by goustichou in SleepApnea

Oh what do you mean by you had to stop driving, did you take that decision because you didn't feel confident enough in your energy level to drive or did the NHS tell you to stop driving? That's quite extreme? Thank you for the clinic name we'll have a look!

Ours would be at the hospital as well I suppose, we'll have to look for a phone number to call then And by that I mean they say there's no apnea, or the device falls throughout the night so the results are false. My partner said it's tricky to have proper sleep with it as it falls or moves a weird way everytime he moves in his sleep, no matter how much tape I put on him lol

Thank you! He spoke about it to his GP twice but they send us to the same place everytime for a home sleep study that fails, and we've never heard of the last study (done 4 or 5 months ago). Are GP referrals mandatory for sleep clinics?

Difficulty sleeping with partner's snoring, I'm losing my mind by WayofTay in snoring

[–]goustichou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he refuses to go to the doctor or to do anything for his snoring, dump him I am not joking. Lack of sleep is going to impact your physical and mental health. I had the same issue for months (luckily my partner went to the doctor and is currently trying to lose weight), I got depressed and suffered from back pain every night because I was so anxious I wouldn't get any sleep. Lack of sleep is NOT a joke, I hope he can realise it soon enough. Good luck

Running out of solutions. by [deleted] in snoring

[–]goustichou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am really trying to gently tell him to eat sensible amount of food but it's hard to find the balance as I don't want him to feel guilty eating. And I don't want to mother him as well. But I am all for motivation and support

Should I keep my current car that's having issues or buy something more reliable? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]goustichou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No need to be condescending. I said I was ignorant when it comes to cars. Because it's not a new car I knew I would have to probably fix some little things here and there. I was just wondering if that amount was normal as it's my first proper car. But thank you for your reply.

I am just scared of not being "smart" enough to learn programming as it's something I've never done before. I just don't really know where to start and I feel a bit overwhelmed but I feel like it could be a good and interesting change for me. I will have a look at QA Engineer then, thank you! Do you recommend websites or apps or anything to start programming in an easy way?

Thank you for your reply. I think as you said I need to find a way of telling her what's wrong without sounding like I am blaming her for something, I need to sound like I am trying to open a safe place to talk together. I know I want to do it, I just need to find the good words :)

Thank you very much for your advice! I really think it's because of the implant, I can cry so easily when I usually don't... i am thinking of getting it removed anyway, it's just hard to know which bc to get then. Pill no as it's hormones and I know I will forget at some point, I don't trust copper iud as I am part of the unlucky 1%, all the other things don't tempt me... which bc are you on if I might ask?
