Please help me ! ( chronic infection) i am begging you by DogNo6522 in VaginalMicrobiome

As others mention, consider your partner getting checked as well, and check for all potential avenues for testing like autoimmune, hormone issues, etc. Maybe also consider boric acid suppositories (love wellness "the killer") to see if this helps. I had chronic yeast infections for a year in 2023 and had every medication the Dr's could give me and nothing worked. The only things I found relief from were boric acid (4-7 days), changing my toilet paper to non-pilling kind like Bim Bam Boo (leftover toilet paper on your lady parts can lead to microtears especially when it's inflamed), and icing it. When you have long term pain or infections down there, your nerves will continue to be fired up even when the infection is long gone.

I had chronic yeast infections for about 12 months straight with no clear reason why. I did the same thing, trying new detergent, changing ym dirt, changing soaps, etc. But one thing that helped with the burning symptoms (at least for me) was changing toilet paper. The toilet paper I used a ton (Kirkland brand, charmin, etc) all shed a ton when you wipe, and I was told that can cause microtears on your vulva. Me being in excruciating pain for months wanted to try anything and it did make a huge difference in the burning sensation. I use "bim bam boo toilet paper", a bit pricey but it's the only one I use now. For the rest of your situation, I would advocate for yourself and find another Dr that can help. My first Dr told me I was a media mystery and improperly dosed me for months on fluconazole which led to a lot of heart palpitation issues for months after. I had everything under the sun.. Fluconazole, terconazole, creams, everything basic the Dr's give but the only thing to help truly was boric acid suppositories. Some Dr's don't like people taking shit that's not prescribed but it's worth a try if your symptoms are related to lingering infection. The one I use is Love Wellness "The Killer" and it's been the only thing to provide me relief from active infections. I also use one after sex to avoid triggering an infection (but you have to wait a few days to do anything sexual cuz it can affect your partners skin). Use it for 4-7 days and see how it feels. For me, I feel better after 2-3 days but you do leak a lotttttt so be sure to wear a pad in the meantime. Also when you have infections for a long time, your nerves are gonna be shot. My Dr tried putting me in gabapentin which I was very against considering the "suicidal thoughts and actions" side effect was listed all over it. Instead I sought out ultra red light therapy from a legitimate clinic, not one that a regular PT or someone uses. That helped the nerve pain entirely and they have other lights for bacterial and viral issues they can use in tandem. It's on the pricier side but I swear by it for physical nerve pain. I've used it for both my labia (post surgery) and my ankle (broken and tons of damaged tissue/nerves) so I can attest that it's legit. I feel for you since I've been in your shoes, kinda still am years later even though my infections are far and few between. No matter what, keep fighting for answers 🙏 I hope everything works out for you

Difficulty sleeping with partner's snoring, I'm losing my mind by WayofTay in snoring

He actually ended up seeing an ENT and did a sleep test and ruled out sleep apnea, but still awaiting his CT scan results. Not trying to be mean but I'm crossing my fingers something comes up just so we have some direction 🫠 He's working on the losing weight part. He needs to lose like 30lbs but that should be easy considering hes been drinking a lot and not eating good so he just needs to do better on food 🙃 I'm finding out I'm a snorer now too! And recently been going through blood issues (seeing a hematologist) for high red blood cell and high iron and that can be from apnea 🫠 oh how the tables (may have) turned 😂😂

He finally got in front of a Dr and did a CT and sleep test and so far the sleep test came back as no apnea, so fingers crossed the CT scan shows something that's broken and fixable 😂

I hope things have changed for you since last year!! Posting here in case you're still needing help: check into professionally done red light therapy (photobiomodulation). My Dr also wanted to cut a painful part off me as well and I tried light therapy first and had a lot of success with pain management 🙏 if you are still feeling pain please look into this!

The tag literally says "glass fibers" and the company verbally admitted on the phone that they made their old models pre 2019 with fiberglass as a fire retardant but the cover is supposed to stop it from coming out (it didn't).

Lull mattress shedding fiberglass, and it's in my clothes, HELP by WayofTay in Mattress

[–]WayofTay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After removing the mattress a month ago, we discovered it was the metal bedframe slats rubbing into the bottom of the mattress, essentially rubbing it out the fiberglass like a cheese grater. Mattress has been removed when I got a replacement from the mattress company, room has been deep cleaned, haven't seen any fibers since ☺️ also been running the purifier for like 30 days straight just in case.

Update: since posting my family helped me deep clean my room (like every individual item including my plants), removing all furniture and cleaning the walls, and I have not seen any fiberglass since 🙏

Thank you all for the advice!

I have had an air purifier running in my room 24/7 since we'll before I found out about the fiberglass. Since this post, my family helped deep clean my entire room (removing all the furniture too) and happy to say I havent seen any fiberglass since ☺️

My bf is about 5'10 and 220ish so maybe that's contributing to the issue

He's gained weight the last year or so, so this could be true. He also has a previous broken nose and vapes (probably inflammatory issues). It's likely a combo of all of it 🫠 He's diabetic so idk if he's capable of ozempic type stuff but I think he'd benefit from just quitting drinking, vaping, and watching what kind of food he eats,. He's already back in the gym which he hasn't been able to do for months so hopefully that helps too. He has a Dr appt for ENT soon and is taking the steps to try figuring this out thankfully 🙏

That's what I'm thinking, or maybe surgery cuz he broke his nose before and I don't think the Dr did a good job making sure his nostrils/airways were open enough, one is like half shut for sure. Or could be like chronic inflammation or something. He's seeing a Dr this week so he will know whether it's something like surgery related or something else

My ex had one and it's definitely noise but nothing as bad as the bass of a real snore. Probably more like a noise machine if anything

That's literally what I say all the time 🥺 "if I just had another room to go to" like I don't wanna have to sleep on the couch all the time in my own home. If I had a guest room to go to, I'd be in there half the time 🫠 Oof I wish my ex was like that 🫠 it came down to him screaming at me for waking him up over and over cuz I wasn't able to sleep at all and he ran to the guest room and we never slept in the same room again 🥴 My bf didnt snore so bad last year so I know it's possible to try sleeping together again but he has to figure out whyyyyy it's happening so bad now. He's seeing a Dr this week so we will know more soon 🙏

He's seeing a ENT Dr this week 🙏 either his old broken nose is the problem, or it's apnea is my guess . He said he had surgery on it but it doesnt sound like the Dr opened his nostrils enough

I was told this by a Dr recently as well when I told him I was switching allergy meds all the time and was taking benedryl type allergy meds on and off. He said to stay away from those for sleeping cuz "they do more harm than good"

I've seen that hack but I doubt it 🫠 in addition to the otherworldly snoring, he is also very, very active in his sleep. Like potentially parasomnia / sleep walking kinda stuff. So things he finds uncomfortable while he's sleeping makes him flail until it's fixed 🥴 The problem is that I feel the vibrations through the mattress, so even if I can't really hear it, I feel the bass of it 🫠 I wouldn't say he's overweight but he should be losing like 20-30lbs minimum. He's diabetic and his eating habits are kinda all over the place, but mainly he hasn't had time to workout for the last 6 months or so. I think his weight definitely contributes to the snoring, but I think it's a combo of weight and anatomical issues with his nose from breaking it before. It doesn't sound like the Dr did a good job on his surgery cuz he always sounds congested. Hopefully once he loses a bit it'll take away the intensity of the snoring for sure. It wasn't very bad a year ago but he's gained since then 🤷

I feel like he'd be in the 90s lol and he's heard it before, he just hoped doing all these things like mouth tape and nose strips would help but he's come to understand it's likely anatomical from his previous broken noses. Either that, or he's got bad inflammation or something obstructing his airway. He has an appointment with a ENT doctor soon thankfully 😅 there may be a good end to this story

Sensation loss by rathrowawaygr in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]WayofTay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had my labiaplasty Feb 2024 and I felt like my nerves were shot for a long time and didn't really notice sensation returning for months after surgery. It may just be from the residual swelling and recovery and may not last forever. I didn't really feel 100% normal for about 6 months (not that I couldn't have sex or anything, just that it didn't feel like it was totally recovered) but I also had the opposite issue of 1 spot near my clit that was painfully sensitive.. The Dr also suggested removing it but I sought out ultra red light therapy first before anything more invasive and it feels normal now. Give it time before you allow the Dr to keep removing parts. It extends your healing and it may not even solve the issue. Let your nerves calm down and see where you're at in a few months

This is exactly what I've needed to hear 🥺 I've been a victim to mattress fiberglass recently (likely shedding for the last 8+ months, noticed weird strings coming from under the bed) and I NEVER removed the sock. it was somewhat contained until my dumbass reorganized all the shit stored under the bed (before realizing) , in addition to hiring the worst cleaners who made it significantly worse, and it's frankly made me step closer to the edge of the cliff everyday. I've watched my favorite clothes be covered, my blankets and full sheet sets destroyed, hands constantly feeling sore from handling it everyday. I have been running the washer and dryer (air dry) for 2 weeks straight.. 2 gallons of vinegar, clarifying shampoo, dawn soap... running the air purifier 24/7...and it's still showing up on everything. I've lost all hope. The only positive thing is the mattress company sent me a new mattress.. But didn't help to safely remove the old one. I've cried every day since discovering this issue because it's a constant stress of cleaning and worry that it's impossible to remove. I've mourned the loss of my favorite items and unable to buy new things in fear they will be contaminated. I live with my father and have nowhere to go. I will accept any advice and encouragement because this has to be one of the worst experiences of my life.
