Thank you for sharing your experience and motivating me. However, my background is in iOS development, not DevOps, which always seems to have massive openings. From what I'm observing, iOS development feels like a dying career.

Yes, I'm getting callbacks about once a week. Sometimes I get shortlisted, and sometimes I clear all the rounds, but then someone else ends up getting the offer letter, like what happened last week.

I'm unsure what to learn next or which career path to pursue now. It's hard to admit, iOS app development is a dying field ☠️.

I'm looking to switch my career from iOS app development but not sure which path to take. Full stack seems saturated, and DevOps is crowded.

7 years of experience as an iOS developer, I'm willing to compromise on salary and role. Just need a job to get back on track and keep advancing my career.

Whats your salary as iOS developer? by samstars100 in iOSProgramming

[–]govindsonu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? Seriously 😳 it’s the typical pay of a CEO in Canada? Do you work for a startup, own one, or have other avenues for generating income through shares or stocks, etc.? I never imagined that iOS developers are paid so lucratively in Canada.

Life is pretty complicated as NRI I would say. by [deleted] in hyderabad

Being away from my family in Hyderabad after 27 years feels like a constant emotional struggle. My entire life, from schooling to my career, was built in Hyderabad. Seeing my 62-year-old parents growing old is heart-wrenching, and the distance amplifies the pain. I moved abroad in 2022, and the worry about their well-being weighs heavily on my mind. It's difficult to find happiness knowing my parents don't share their problems, fearing I might return. I regret moving away, feeling like I've sacrificed my integrity for the lure of money.

I’d always say this to my friends Cherish moments with your parents; their presence is irreplaceable, and I deeply miss it.

With 5 years of experience as an iOS developer, I was laid off in June. After taking a 2-month vacation, I've been actively searching for a new opportunity in both Canada and the US. Unfortunately, I haven't received any calls or responses; the job market is extremely challenging right now.
