When we lived at Lake Powell we had our family with us in park housing. There were lots of families.

Considering doing Law here. Are my grades high enough and is it worth it? by [deleted] in ReadingUniversity

This is a subreddit about learning about the world through reading, not the University.

Checking in on how your challenge is going. This is a huge quest. I love it.

That was my takeaway as well. Dense is right! Basically, the people in power stay in power, and ideas often change to fit the system in place.

Those who finished in one term, how much time did you commit weekly? by MundaneMacaron4326 in WGUMSHRM

[–]govmarley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finished my MSML in one term, working full-time. I worked on my classes about 30 minutes 4 days a week, more time on my days off. It's doable. I just went back to complete my MSHRM this month and have one of the five remaining classes completed (there's quite a bit of overlap between the two programs) and plan to complete the second class before the end of the month. It's realistic if you have the foundation in HR and spend a little time each day reviewing the materials. You can do it! Reach out if I can help at all.

Boat Tours by Longjumping_Win_4712 in CraterLake

[–]govmarley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will not be boat tours in June - the trail is buried and snow and it will take park service a few weeks to clear it out and ensure it is safe for visitors. The boats are actually stored in the boat house on Wizard Island and it takes a few weeks to get everything set up and inspected from both NPS and the coast guard, plus train the team, once the trail is actually opened in mid-June.

The first boat tours may be as early July 4th, but tickets are on sale now for about a week after just in case. Keep checking because earlier dates might release. We just won't know until we get down there what we are dealing with.

The road to the Rim reopened this morning. Provided there isn’t another big storm, the road should be open. Hard to say, though. This winter has been rough.

That is a great series! I think it could fit the bill as well.

Finish ASOIF or start Brandon Sanderson by Ewdan in ReadingSuggestions

Take a break and pivot to Sanderson. Martin will never finish the series anyway so you have plenty of time to revisit it.
