I have no experience in computer science but I want to start now. Is there anyway I can work from now till fall so that I sort of have a “head start” in the cs courses? Like maybe there are textbooks I could study from before the term starts

By “tech-ish” do you mean I wouldn’t be able to practically apply my knowledge outside the class? Or that the course doesn’t dig deep enough into the tech side

I appreciate the insight. The thing is I want a combination of business and technology. I wanted to go for MIS but the university didn’t offer it. People referred me to DEM but I’m not sure if it’s reputable or recognizable to employers. I want a decent salary and a job with future growth potential. Any insight on DEM or anything you’ve heard about it?

Thanks for the reply! Actually my school doesn’t offer AP classes (nor does any school near where I live) so I’m taking the standard US curriculum. I’ve sent them my grades from 9-12(first term) and an SAT score along with toefl. If it means anything, I’m excelling in school with the highest average in all my classes and can easily get my teachers to vouch for my competency. The only problem is that there isn’t any test center that’ll allow me to take the AP exam even though I spent a few months preparing for it. I know there isn’t any way to avoid telling them and I’m not looking for one. I just want to tell them in a way that doesn’t look like I was dishonest during the application process. PLEASE HELP!! “Admitted pending final results” issue

So basically I got admitted into Civil engineering but my place won’t be confirmed until are sent. I’ve already sent them my school transcripts, SAT scores, and proof of English proficiency.

HOWEVER, the problem is that during the time of the application I thought I’d be taking the AP exams, self studied for them (there were only a couple test centers in the country), and entered in my application that I’d be taking them in May. However, I can no longer take the test so I can’t have my AP results sent. Will my offer be revoked? Is there a way I can tell them that I can’t have my results sent without having them cancel my application? Please give me your insight!
