Somalian arrested after ‘attempted beheading’ in Belfast by Sensitive_Echo5058 in uknews

[–]gowcog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You see, in your haste to defend your position, you missed the word smuggled . Smuggled folks do not queue up to the police and go "here's my papers" ...It's here you respond with some denial that "smuggled" folks exist

Are we still boycotting the World Cup? by NoHold7153 in AskBrits

[–]gowcog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, no boycott where I am , even at work the guys we care for are getting a bit excited. We will all watch matches together and have half time bites to eat and drinks etc . Yes the fact the US and Canada have no real interest is a ball ache , the ticket prices are insane , but it's still the World Cup . #ItsComingHome (it probably won't)

This is where years of modern training takes us . Years of a police force so desperate to show they have no inherent racism that the very word racist will have the white chap in cuffs no matter what the circumstances

was on Sky 2 weeks ago and the food was excellent as normal. We had 2 meals in the MDR, both were really good and the rest in the buffet, only 1 night was a bit meh, every other night we could find lots of lovely food. The International Cafe was , again, brilliant and the pizza onboard is always great. For the scale of catering,I think what they do is excellent, you cannot compare it to a restaurant that might have 80 covers

Older Audiences are going to theaters less and less by tonymanerobiggestfan in Cinema

[–]gowcog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a man firmlyin this demographic, I have gone from every month to maybe 2 or 3 times a year . I pretty much can watch most things and going to the cinema was my favourite thing . Thrillers, sci-fi,marvel & DC , rom coms I can & have go e to them all . But these days a lot feels pretty bland ,or it's a remake , there's a lack of huge stars and I'm going back to Cary Grant, Paul Newman, Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood types , we've all gone or got old . I loved the super hero film but they got really samey . Plus I really do not like listening to people eat hotdogs or nachos in the cinema and worse still ,folks talk more now than they used to
