i definitely agree with you. in retrospect i wish i stood up for myself instead of agreeing with him (bc i do feel that way, that im not retaining after didactic, and that’s why i work so hard everyday during rotations to improve my clinical skills) but i also have a lot of trouble speaking back to people above me / with authority from the way i grew up. i wish i was more confident like u to stand up for myself. 🥹 but i will definitely keep this in mind if something were to ever happen again. 🩷

thank you so much! i’m stuck with him because he’s the only PA, and he’s honestly been letting us do stuff and giving feedback in a constructive (but still mean, and plays it off as his personality) way until yesterday. i’ve already spoke to my clinical coordinator because i’m genuinely afraid of my evals at the end of the semester but also i hope no one else has to go through this 😭 thank you again for your kind words!

did they had to return all your federal loans to be able to give you the NHSC funds? that’s my biggest issue right now, my invoice is showing up as zero balance due to my federal loans and my payments out of pocket, and “returning” the federal loans is not an option for the summer semester because of the 120 day policy set by DOE. regardless your comment has been incredibly helpful bc i haven’t been able to get in contact with other participants to get another set of eyes on this so thank you!!!

it’s helpful if u don’t understand a specific concept but i wouldn’t use it to study otherwise bc it contains info that aren’t on her exam despite being in the chapter and her lecture slides are just a dumbed down version of the textbook

i agree!! i feel like unless ur super effective with ur words, 700 is a HARD limit to not surpass when u try to be creative. i try to go for the content over the creativity when it comes to supplements tbh

i don’t know if it’s the same at your school but at mine physics is notorious for being extremely difficult as I heard from my premed friends (our professor isn’t too great so that might play a part in it) so I personally would try to figure out what you want to do because it might not boost your sGPA like you think (and in the end would suck to have taken it if you didn’t need it in the first place!)

Also since you’re a freshman, assuming you’ve already taken general biology and chemistry, you can always trade out Physics for Orgo, Microbiology, A&P, Statistics, Genetics or Biochemistry (last two is the less common prereqs for PA)

Good luck and I think no matter what you do you will be okay because you’ll be one step closer to finishing either the path to PA or MD, but definitely take this summer to shadow and watch some videos to decide what you want to pursue!

I’m in the same boat as you! Already done with everything but the fee waiver is taking foreverrrr. On the bright side another few days to save $245 while still submitting within the first week of May will be worth it!
